Amazing place. We've lived in Blairstown for 2+ years and just went for the first time the other night. I wish we went much... sooner! Food was great, the waitress and owner were so friendly and created a family-like environment. I had two young kids withus and they were helping to keep them entertained the whole time. I could not be happier Chefs catered my daughters wedding reception this weekend. So many compliments, everyone wanted to know... who I had. We had a fabulous server and an excellent bartender. Was so looking forward to a Valentine dinner with hubby. Service was great. Food for me was a disappointment. The pureed... cauliflower soup was okay. The stuffed chicken and risotto not good. Not the quality of food I was expecting. Hubby had primerib which was not warm when served but nothing to rave about. I recently had Chefs cater my son's baptism reception. The food was BEYOND fantastic! The pulled pork was a huge hit! The... eyeround, tender and flavorful. And my favorite, chicken franchese, had the perfect amount of lemon zing! I haven't really hadLisa's food for a few years. In fact, since before her new location in Columbia. And I got caught sneaking into the food beforemy guests because I couldn't resist! Ray was prompt as usual for delivery and set up for the buffet, but I would expect nothingless from this wonderful group! All of my guests were totally amazed at the selections, presentation, and taste of everythingon the menu. They all told my wife and I how good the food was as they left. Every. Single. One! Lol. Even her parents were soimpressed they said they would definitely use them again, as well as trying some of Chefs' dinner selections during the week.They were also thrilled about being able to do as Lisa says, " Be the guest at your own party!" A wonderful experience. Food is so fresh and well cooked, staff is caring and friendly. Lisa is the Chef and owner, and she is... fantastic. Meals can be simple or sophisticated, they are delicious and at very reasonable prices. Make you a favor for thedesert: try the carrot cake, we will come back for it again and again! Read more
There was an error in our reservation for lunch at a time when the restaurant was not even open. Chef LISA McLAUGHLIN was there... to greet us, apologize and offer to make us lunch anyway because she was there preparing a catering job. She offered us lunchand dinner menus and graciously let us choose whatever we wanted. We had a beautiful mushroom, spinach and rice soup forstarter. It was peppery, warm and deeply flavored. Delicious. Then we had perfectly made cheese steak sandwiches. The peppers,onions and steak were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of fat and liquid to moisten the bread without making itsoggy. We finished up with coffee. Anyone had coffee in rural America? No flavor, no strength right? Not this coffee. ChefMcLaughlin told us to expect a delicious flavor and she was absolutely right. I can't say enough about Chef's.
