Support black businesses they say....Well, I must say my first visit last night at Barcode was the worst restaurant experience... I\'ve ever had in my life. My friend and I waited at least 20 minutes for our server to acknowledge our presence as she attendedto people who were seated after us. Once we placed our drink orders we waited another 20-25 minutes to receive our drinks. Itwasn\'t busy at all when we arrived so I\'m not sure what the problem was with the bar. I watched people who came in after gettheir drinks before us. We ordered our food which didn\'t take that long to come out, however, my friend\'s order was incorrect.My food was good besides the instant mashed potatoes (supposed to be garlic mash, but tasted plain). It took my friend over anhour to receive her food, but not without conflict. After waiting 40 minutes and watching others get their food, she finallyasked to speak with a manager. The first person she asked preceded to ask another server to come to our table instead of amanager. My friend again, asked to speak with a manager. Somehow our server was made aware of the situation so she came to thetable to resolve the issue herself. Instead of taking accountability for her mistakes, she placed the blame on the people in thekitchen for messing up the order (I\'m sure she keyed it in wrong) and taking too long to remake it, said it busy and wasargumentative with my friend. It STILL took another 20 minutes or so for her to get the food and the order was still incorrect.A guy (possibly a manager) knew there was a problem at our table and avoided coming over to talk to us. The owners spent goodmoney on the decor and ambience, but not on quality staff and real mashed potatoes ????. Again, my food was good but the servicewas TERRIBLE!!! It took a long time to place second drink orders because our server barely attended to our table. This is worst establishment I have ever been to. The waitress didn\'t know much of anything. It took along time for us to... receive our food. The hookah was not good and was 50.00 when we was quoted 25.00. Also, the drinks was hot but I guess that willhappen when the bartender was drinking himself, watching the game, and not taking care of the customers who were sitting attables. He only worried about people in front of him. I don\'t understand why this establishment allows children to come whenclearly this not a kid-friendly establishment. The bathroom only had one stall and please before you order you food make sureyou ask questions before you order because what\'s on the menu may not be accurate. They will not tell you until you ask themabout it. But, the music was great but that\'s about all I can say was good. Read more

I don\'t know where to start. So the music and food is good. But it\'s the service for me. The waitress didn\'t even put my food... order in and I sat there and watched all my friends eat their food. She didn\'t apologize or anything. We ordered another roundof food and drinks and it took her another 30 minutes to even come back to let know the status. We got our drinks and it washot. I will not come back. The waitress kept getting our order wrong. If you do hookah rental ask them the price. My waitressasked us the flavor we wanted and quoted us $25. We got the ticket and was charged $50. Please ask questions because they willplay with you. If I ever get something again it would be a to go order. Also y\'all need to not have kids coming in thisestablishment in this type of environment. Read more

We attended Barcode for Friendsgiving and it wasn’t worth it at all. We drove an hour and was too excited to got disappointed.... The best thing at Barcode was definitely the DJ. We waited 2 and.a half hours for food. I ordered the fish and grits. The gritswas to perfection but the fish was cooked in burnt grease. It wasn’t good at all but after waiting 2 hours I had no choice butto eat it. The hookahs taste burnt and after ordering 2 mimosa towers it took an hour to get it. The two stars was only for theDJ. First time visiting with friends. Customer service was unacceptable. All of our orders came with grits , which all the order of... grits came out cold. We sent them back and We never received another order. French Toast was burnt and cold. One of our ordersnever came out. We waited 40 minutes before the food came out, after talking with other guest tables, they had been waiting anhr for their food before we arrived, and the hostess brought out , some of our food first.\nThe place was not crowded at all.Beautiful establishment, but poor customer service. My party and I just left the establishment. My reservation was at 8 p.m. and they sat us right away. The place was not packed... which I loved. The music gave us great vibes. My only complaint was the macaroni. I had the Bourbon Salmon, macaroni and cheeseand asparagus. It was not seasoned and tasted like it was scraped from the bottom of the pan. I replaced it with the mashedpotatoes. Besides that hiccup, our service was phenomenal. Our drinks were strong and the Hookah was on point too. Good times. Read more

It took an entire Day to find this google account to write a review. It’s so much I could say but I’m going to sum it up.... Food was not cooked all the way, table and chairs were dirty, Manager had the biggest attitude. Waitresses were nice but did notknow the menu and was a bit clueless to the bars operations. French toast was burnt and when we asked for a fresh plate of it,it was also burnt. My understanding is that it was a soft opening and the grand opening is supposed to be in a few days so I’mnot sure how there is a review on here from 3 months ago. But that proves that my review is authentic. Read more

We won’t be going to this establishment anymore! We got under cooked chicken that sent me straight to the rest room. Stomach... was hurting before I left this place. When asking about the service charge on our check, we were told it’s for gratuity. Wealways tip when it’s good service. But we didn’t get that. We talked to the manager and she was rude as ever! Most managerstry to make the customers feel better by having an unpleasant experience but not this one. She was rude, didn’t apologize forthe misunderstanding and caught an attitude for no reason. Something that that could’ve been swept under the rug is nowgetting shared all over social media. Which could’ve been resolved with a simple explanation and apology. And now the owneris complaining that we didn’t reach out to him first. This is what the review sections are for. And it’s also called freedomof speech. He chose to complain on his social media about our complaint but didn’t come to us first either. Sounds prettycontradicting to me. Read more
