Racquel, the owner, was gracious, and accommodating, and an absolute sweetheart! Although the kitchen wasn't due to open for... another half hour, she took it upon herself to welcome us, man the kitchen, and provide me, my daughter, and granddaughter adelicious meal of chicken and waffles that were absolutely delicious! Went many times and had really good bar/food service. Happened to go to this establishment on Wednesday. There was a young woman... outside on her phone. She said hello and opened the door for me. I took a booth seat and looked at the menu when after severalminutes I realized that she had not come over to ask for my drink order. There may have been 5 people in at the time.I looked upand realized that she had begun a conversation with two men at the bar. Only after the urging of the manager/owner did she comeover to ask if I needed anything. After several minutes later, I got my drink which was made incorrectly. I had waited so longfor it that I just decided to keep it. The manager refused to give me a small amount of pineapple juice to add to the drink. Thewaitress who was very young and really bad at what she was doing, said that the owner would have to speak to me about the shotglass size of juice that I had requested. She came with an attitude and we exchanged words. Couldn't figure out why she and Ihad to discuss the way "I" wanted my drink. She stated that it was an upcharge for a 2 oz pour of pineapple juice. She spokeover me and gave no indication that she was empathetic to my request. She was actually a bit snotty. We left shortly after. Whatshe didn't know, was that my friends and I over time, have spent hundreds of dollars there. The only reason I don't give theplace a lower rating is the fact that previous visits and staff were attentive and kind. The cook is amazing and food is reallygood. Food was great but service was not up to par. Only one server was on the floor the entire night, serving 3 different tables of... 3+ guests. We had to repeat our order three times, waited an hour on our food and the order was still messed up. One person didnot receive their food until everyone else at our table was done eating. We went on a Thursday where drink specials wereadvertised and was told that none of the specials were available. After being at the restaurant for over two hours with minimalservice, we received our checks which were rung up incorrectly. Did not enjoy the experience overall. Read more
Stopped by for an impromptu dinner with friends. The food and service were wonderful. I had the chicken salad with fries. It?s... my new favorite place to get chicken salad. Even though there was a misunderstanding about on of our orders, our servergraciously and quickly corrected it. I?ll definitely be returning soon. Read more

I am so glad I found this place. It was marvelous. The decor is amazing and the atmosphere is so welcoming. The owner greeted us... personally and made us feel very welcomed. She is such a professional an humble woman, I really appreciate her and her staff.The food is delicious. I will be visiting more often just so I can have every item on the menu. This place is also LGBT(??????????) friendly. Good southern cuisine and fresh food. Loved it. Read more
OMG!! I just learned about this spot yesterday and immediately added it to my "must visit list." I'm almost a bit nervous to... share a review because it's so challenging to find a restaurant in Columbia with no wait on a Sunday. I had fish and grits(heaven!) And hubby had shrimp and grits and refused to share. Guess it was good, huh?? The service was amazing. Again, I'mnervous to post as this is a gem, but I must mention the complimentary mimosas. YES!! This was my first time visiting this awesome female black own establishment. Delicious food and great staff. This is a hookah... lounge but not really smoky at all. The music was loud but that was just me. I had Salmon bites that were moist and deliciouswith fried okra that was seasoned just right. My friend had the chicken and shrimp bowl with terriaky rice and fried macaronibites. Read more
