Went here on a visit of family during the Thanksgiving holiday. The waitress we had was outstanding. I wish I remembered her... name. She was great to my family. Food was well done. We've gone before and always had good experiences. Will keep supporting. Read more

First time here, it was a mixed experience. It?s a meat and 3. I had the fried pork chop (you only get one), rice and gravy, Mac... and cheese, and creamed corn. The pork chop was good, but as it was the star of the meal, I wish I would have gotten a secondone for my entree. The rice and gravy was good. The mac and cheese was great here, as it was baked and had cheese on top. Thecreamed corn was very salty. My wife got the veggie plate. She had : cole slaw, which she liked; creamed corn which was toosalty for her; candied yams which she said was great; and cornbread dressing, which she said was the star of her meal. Picsincluded. Food was tasty and priced well, and service was pretty quick. Some of the best fried okra I've had in years. Would have been 5... stars, but I got squash instead of macaroni. It was still good! But come on, man, when your heart wants mac and cheese, anythingelse is going to be a disappointment. Read more

Really great place for some awesome southern home cooking with a side of southern hospitality. Local place and found only in... the midlands. Todd was a great waiter and took the time to explain the restaurant's founding and made sure we felt welcomed. Definitely will go back, even if for take out. Read more

I called in the order and got great directions from the person taking the orders. My food was ready when I walked in & drinks... too. Plus all the little extras meaning salt, pepper, butter and silverware. I had explained on the phone that my father was inthe hospital & had been there over 2 months straight from a car accident we both were in. They had the food separated as I askedfor plus extra rolls & corn muffins and double bagged my father's soup too. Nice friendly and clean restaurant and Bathroom. Read more

The LT is my happy place. Service is always good, food is always great, and it's the perfect place to gather with old friends to... catch up or just end a trip in a high note. It doesn't matter what you order- I've never had a bad meal here. Read more

So we actually ended up at a different location at first, not realizing there was more than 1 (we're from outta town). We walked... in the other location and immediately walked out due to the musky smell, but decided to try the original location we found andlet's just say y'all exceeded our expectations! And service was amazing! Thanks for helping us celebrate our anniversary whilewe were visiting SC! We almost forgot the pix of our desert (grilled pound cake with vanilla bean ice cream????) The sign says Real Country Cooking. It's right. I was searching Waze for local food as I'm out of state for work and I prefer... local and unique restaurants to chains. There was a notification for tonight's special, fried chicken livers. This place met allmy needs. The tables are set for good distancing. Atmosphere was like home. The waitress was prompt with my drink request andwas very friendly. I chose the livers, fried okra, black eyed peas, and inquired about the potato salad. Several patrons sighedas if I had mentioned Mama's special dish. It was perfect. Cornbread as well, of course. The food arrived quickly and wasgreat. My only minor ding was the okra had some overcooked pieces. Not complaining though. The sweet tea was also JUST right. Ican't believe I ate it all. I will definitely make a visit next time. A certain *country barrel chain could learn a thing or 2about the way Lizard's Thicket does country food. I was very happy. And full. Read more
