Our waitress was great. Should have left a bigger tip for the recommendation of the pound cake. The Mac n cheese was sooooo bad... though. I don't know what happened. Made me sad. The kitchen juggled our chicken waffles so that was a little slow coming out. The rest of the food was amazing, as always. ... Super nice staff and of course an awesome menu. It's impractical to save room for dessert.... Better to order that up front. Read more
This place is great. Good food, decent portions, and reasonable prices. And the service was great! Might have to stop here again... on the way north! Edit: I stopped back on the way north, and got their roast turkey with cornbread dressing and yams. Just asgood as before. ???? Read more
The waitress was not friendly and was quite rude. This was my 1st time here and will be my last. My husband, daughter & I all... spoke to the waitress but we got a half a** hello back, gave our drink order. She comes back with our order & I noticedsomething on the inside of my cup and ask for another drink and put it in a to go cup, she replied back yeah but acted likes Iwas wrong for saying something. I noticed how she went to another table with 2 ladies (Caucasian) she was so nice and sweet tothem. She brings out our food, I'm missing the meat from my order and tells her, but she takes her time now my pancakes arecold. I didn't bother to even say anything else, I ate my bacon & grits and we left. I will never be back and will not recommendanyone I know to visit. Breakfast is always tasty...the prices have gone up quite a bit but hasn't everyone's? We had salmon patties and liver pudding... and it was GOOD. Grits were a nice consistency and eggs prepared as requested. You really can't go wrong getting breakfast atthis location. Read more
Been going to Lizard Thicket since 1970s on Broad River Rd. My food I ordered was so wrong I don't understand. Ordered county... fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac and cheese with Lima beans and corn bread. Got 2 orders of my 2nd order, and thecorn bread was burnt. So today I went to lizards ticket and it was a good experience... we went for breakfast and my friend and I we ordered the... following: My friend ordered the pork chops with grits and I ordered the grilled chicken breast with hash browns Overall itwas a great experience because the first time when I ordered the grilled chicken breast it was not cooked properly and Ireturned it and they made a fresh one and cooked well and served again. The staff is really warm and nice and the place isoverall very spacious keeping the social distancing in mind. The coffee is good too. I loved the omelette that they servedalong with the breakfast and the hash browns were too good. Overall a good place to have all meals I would prefer the lunchand dinner as they have more exciting options - do try the fries and the fried chicken. Read more
Great service, good food, came all the way from Tennessee so mama could eat chicken livers here! Corn was a bit tough & candied... yams were not hot...fried okra was delicious! Fried chicken was excellant! Chicken & rice soup was good too! Prices reasonable. Read more
