Our small local Maurices bbq on St Andrews Rd is as good as the bigger store/restaurant on Lk Murray blvd!!
My husband wanted to try them. My son enjoyed the macaroni and cheese and fries. The fries had good texture. The ribs didn't... look like it but they were pull off the bone tender. My son enjoyed the strawberry shortcake. Before I knew it the bananapudding I was eating was gone even though I meant to share it with my husband. The fried okra was crispy and tasted good. Myhusband loved the barbecue. He wanted to go because they have mustard based barbecue. It is not something I am used to but wasgood. If I could give a negative review I would. The more I think about it the more disappointed I am. I ordered from Door Dash 2... sides 2 meat. For anyone whos saying well I ordered from Door Dash and that may have been the problem Well here are the facts.My order was confirmed at 1:41 and delivered at 2:04. I live close to the restaurant. The ribs were EXTREMELY COLD. I wasexpecting it to fall off the bone. Apparently other people reviews shows that their food is cold even when dining in. I orderedhot wings and they were also COLD, rubbery. The hot wings were not spicy what so ever! The food tasted as if it were a day oldand reheated. The strings beans are the big string beans and it had ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR NOR SEASONING! Cold also! Hush puppieswere warm and was some what tasteful. The Only thing that was good was this golden sauce; not sure if they have a name for itbut that was appetizing. Maurice?s BBQ I?m a business owner. My guest leave reviews. Please read yours and improve. Please takethis negative experience and turn it around. Please stop reheating food and serving it for the next day. I know reheated foodwhen I taste it. Went today and had the Cheeseburger basket. Made to order and Delicious!
Not my favorite, but customer service was great. Might be because it is just different when what I am used to, but not my cup... of tea. (I had bbq, hash&rice, and fries) Learned also that I am just Not a huge fan of Carolina BBQ sauce. Read more
I got 2 large rib dinners with okra and Mac and cheese. It was great!! The staff that work here are very polite and fast. Me... and my wife love coming here to see Matt and Mena! We have stopped by every Saturday or Sunday for the past 3 years and theytreat us very well. See y'all next weekend!!! Read more
Good, not great. Hush puppies were excellent. Pulled pork was very good. Golden sauce was ok. Did not like the hash. Very... friendly staff. Just fine for a quick lunch on the road. Read more
Pulled up to the drive thru and no one would respond. Pulled up to the drive thru window. A worker was right there but... completely ignored me at the window. There were no customers in the parking lot or in the building. Wanted to place an orderbut no one wanted to take my order. Took my business elsewhere instead. Read more
