Ordered Fajita Taco Salad for my birthday dinner. Husband brought home a taco shell that was completely dissolved from the heat... of the toppings. It literally crumbled in my hand and couldn?t be eaten. I called and spoke with a manager that stated there wasnothing he could do as he stated the food was good when ordered. I am quickly running out of superlatives to describe this restaurant. The food is always exceptional. And our server this visit... was absolutely impeccable. Without saying a word, he noticed that I was looking around at the other tables, and within momentsasked if I was looking for some hot sauce. Seconds later, it was on our table. I don't usually write negative reviews, but this Mexican restaurant was seriously lacking. Our waitress was very short with us... and seemed to be in a huge rush. The pink lemonade we got for our kids must have been mixed with some sprite and melon flavoringbecause it was extremely off-putting. So much so, that my kids wouldn't even drink it. This place is delicious in my opinion. I ate inside for the first time in three years and only the second indoor dining in this... time period both in the last month. We have ALWAYS enjoyed the food here and the portions are just as good and prices arebasically the same in these times of rising prices which some of it is just gouging and politicians. San Jose remains one of ourfavorite places along with being close and convenient. Parking can be tough but that just tells you other people also think it'sexcellent food and excellent value which is a great combination for customer satisfaction which is the NUMBER ONE priority ofimportance ALWAYS. Maybe I should not go at the end of the lunch specials time but it was 2pm. I placed an order for a taco and tamale. The... tamale was warm but it tasted ok. My taco was a shell with meat and a hunk of cheese and a little(very little) lettuce. It wasalso cold. I work real close to this place so I know my food could not have gotten cold that quick. Close by and fast. Went during the lunch specials. Those end at 3pm. Had a frozen strawberry mango margarita. The waiter said... that's the most popular flavor combination. I had the #5 special. It was so good! All of it was delicious! Read more
