I am in contention with Schiano's. They have good food when the right person is making it, but that varies. Italian cuisine is... based on quality and craftsmanship, even a dish as simple as pizza. The pizza is never good when I order it. It is flimsy as apiece of paper, which I understand for NYC pizza, but that is commercial pizza. Pizza shouldn't have grease dripping off as youare eating, soiling your hands, clothes, and floor. It is even evident when you look under the box after ordering and taking itto your destination. On the other hand, the calzones are great, full of flavor, cooked properly, and the additional saucesboost it above Eddie's Calzones in Five Points. I went there with my family a few weeks ago. The food was good; not exceptional, but definitely good. The service, however, will... likely cause us not to go back. The young gals that took our orders weren't rude, they just seemed mildly annoyed that we werethere. It was over an hour until closing time, so we weren't coming in last minute (I don't like doing that at "sit-down"restaurants). After receiving our food, things went smoothly, until we were getting ready to leave. When we asked for to-goboxes, the waitress literally tossed the to-go box at her at the table, without saying a word. They had already begun wipingdown tables and stacking chairs around us for nearly 30 minutes. Finally, as we were getting our infant buckled in to leave,they were literally stacking the chairs from our table... While we were still there. One waitress handed me our to-go box fromthe table, not to be helpful, but so she could stack my chair up there. I've never felt so shoved out of a restaurant. The foodwas alright, but the service was a big problem. This is mostly disappointing because it was my wife's birthday dinner.Proverbial insult to injury, if you will. Read more
I ordered through grubhub for the entirely wrong order and when I called the restaurant to try and get the right food they... claimed because I ordered through grubhub they don?t have it and proceeded to tell me it was what I ordered. I got a meat loversnasty pizza instead of as steak lovers and dinners I didn?t even order. The manager was rude and no help so now I?m out now hbecause grubhub won?t refund my entire order.I just think it?s poor customer service to not try and make it right.especiallyspending 100 dollars. First, the good. I ordered a 12 inch pizza with just sausage and onions. The sausage was very good. Now the not-so-good. The... pizza was very soggy and under cooked. I asked for onions and I do not think there were more than 5 or six little tiny pieces ofonion on the entire pizza. At $20 for a 12 inch pizza, this pie was a little disappointing. Read more
I love schiano's. I gave it five stars because the food is amazing. I was thinking about giving it for because I think the... customer service behind the counter maybe needs a little work, but honestly, the food makes it a five. I really only get pizzahere, so I can only really speak to that, but every pizza I've ever gotten has been amazing Read more
This salad was almost $7. Its small & most of the lettuce is old. The green lettuce was placed on top of the old lettuce. As if... I wouldn't notice..smh the pizza box was so loose my pizza almost fell out. And it looks used. Read more
Terrible experience unfortunately. Ordered with a friend at 6 . Ordered a white pizza took over 40 minutes for that pizza and... would have been good if there wasn?t over 2 pounds of minced garlic in the cheese. Secondly the friend ordered a meat loverspizza 9? he waited over an hour. Never got pizza we had to leave because of a movie showing that night. Read more
