Family atmosphere for sure. The young server, King was superb. ???? Burgers and fries, fresh! Veggies were salty, rice was cold... and gravy was on everything. Tastes like jar gravy. Cornbread was hard and rice tasted old. Disappointed. Our 1st time here.Consistent traffic for a Sunday afternoon though. Read more

$18 for a dinner and was given different reasons for the price. $4 difference than what is on the menu. Prices should be put on... their chalkboard daily or told to the customer while they are giving the order if it is different than what is on the menu. TheCabbage was too salty and nasty in our opinion. Everything else was fine to me but just kinda alright to my partner. They werenice however and the food took longer than expected. A little over an hour to be exact. I myself do not mind waiting sometimeson hot food as long as it is worth it. Was given an apology for the long wait and that was great that they did this. Iunderstand that they are busy but the phone was ringing where I honestly saw that it could have been answered but ignored. Nottrying to be negative but some people may want to call to see if there order is ready instead of walking back and forth insidethe restaurant due to disabilities, etc. I know sometimes that it cannot be answered due to being too busy too. Be blessed. Read more

The food is cooked to order. It's worth every bit of the wait. You will get your money's worth. I got the spud it includes... steak, chicken, shrimp, broccoli, cheese and bacon bits. The salad includes steak, fried shrimp, fried chicken, ham, egg, cheese, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It will have you coming back. I definitely will be back. Great food is hard to find. Read more

Was disappointed due to no peach lemonade but the tropical lemonade was awesome. Price well worth due tothe amount of food received! Will visit again. Read more

Every minute of the wait was worth it!!???????? First of all, thank you to the kitchen. Cooking soul food, SIX days a week, &... actually having reasonable store hours is not an easy task. Thank you so much! The food was immaculate, you could taste theflavor in every bite. This is was the best soul food I?ve had in a public restaurant in a hot minute. It doesn?t take a lot ofmagical decor for a place to be delicious. You will not regret coming here. But do be patient, food like this takes awhile tocook. Read more

I got the dinner with 2 sides. The meat was well-seasoned. I got the fried swai fish, rice and gravy, and macaroni. The macaroni... was horrible because it was only macaroni, cheese, and butter. There wasn't any creaminess to it and no flavor. The gravy wasn'tflavored but taste like it was from a jar. I was expecting so much more from a soul food restaurant. Read more
