Yamato was awesome. We had read some bad reviews since Covid. The restaurant was not full at 6:30 for dinner, but what a shame.... The entertainment was amazing. It?s been years since we ate here and so glad we decided to give it a try again. Our chef wasfully engaged with us, and cooked our fillet, chicken, and shrimp to perfection. We went for my wife?s birthday. We ordered extra onions. They come out with extra mushrooms. I corrected them and said it?s... extra onions. Ordered her son extra rice instead of vegetables. The chef dishes out the rice. I got no rice. Her son had enoughrice to cover his plate. No room for anything else on his plate. At this point I had a plate full of onions. He passed out extrarice to everyone other than me. I asked what about me. He gave what he was going to pass out to the other folks at the table. Itwas embarrassing to feel like I was begging for food at a place they normally give you more rice than you can eat. It was just acold and unfriendly experience. If you go just order off the menu. It was her birthday and my reservations said so. No birthdaywishes from them. I left feeling embarrassed and not happy. I came in with my girlfriend tonight. Food was great with one exception. I ordered the salmon and it was really pink and... undercooked inside. I tried to eat around it but it was clearly not done. I mentioned to the cook the salmon wasn?t done. Hetook it back, then looked at me and said ?why don?t you let me know when it?s done then?. I think I hit a nerve because he thencooked it until it was burnt. It was to the point even the other guests at our table noted it as well. The rest of the food wasgreat and the servers were great. But that salmon was not done and I would?ve gotten very sick if I hadn?t spoken up. I reallydon?t like making things an issue but his behavior was really weird. It?ll probably be awhile before I?m back, and when Ireturn I?ll probably not get the salmon again if this is how it?s being cooked. Been there many times and enjoyed it until now. Tonight I took my family for my son's birthday. I felt like they wanted to get... us over with. No mention of my son's birthday, and they knew about it. Portions seemed smaller, and prices were higher. An 18%gratuity was automatically applied, even though I thought service was only adequate, not worth 18%. No special antics by thecook. You have to ask for the nickel's worth of sherbert. My family and I came to this restaurant for my daughters going off to college celebration. We had an 8:15pm reservation upon our... arrival the manager with purple or blue hair did not inform us that our party had to all be here as well most importantly shedid not explain that everyone in our party had to be with us in order to be seated. And that there was a 10 minute ?grace?period. Now we are sitting in the restaurant right in front of her and she never asked if our party had arrived! Then when shedid acknowledge us she was the rudest manager I?ve ever encountered anywhere ! And to top it all off we waited over an hour andthirty eight minutes for soup and salad ridiculous! And then the chef said he?s not going to prepare our meals because my wifeand daughter asked for no onions with there vegetables!
