Mu firat time here. Everyone was super nice from I walked in. I had a Mandarin Martini to start at the bar and it was really... tasty. For my entrée I ordered Habachi steak and lobster!!! When I tell u it was soooo ????????????delicious!! I willdefinitely be going back. Read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. I don?t know if the young woman often found at the front is the owner or the daughter... but she very unprofessional and rude. You are in the service industry!!! After making dinner reservations for a large party formy daughter?s birthday, we had 2 unexpected guests arrive. When I informed the hostess she blatantly rolled her eyes, sighed andshook her head! I apologized for the inconvenience. Then she proceeded to storm off mumbling under her breath! When she finallyreturned she rudely said ?are you ready?? and grabbed the menus. She proceeded to seat our party in two different rooms acrossfrom each other ? even though the table next to us was empty! At first I presumed it was for the tables to be seated fairlyamongst the cooks and servers. But I quickly realized that she had done it on purpose when she IMMEDIATELY filled the next 2tables with other patrons. Needless to say we have not been back. Read more

Somehow I have lived here my entire life and never been to Mikata. I used to go to Shogun all the time, but never made it here.... I ordered the Steak and Shrimp dinner and sat at the grill table. My steak was tender, seasoned well, and cooked to medium (Iordered med-rare). The shrimp were over cooked, but they were still fine. The veggies were perfect. The server was great andkept our dishes cleared and drinks filled. I will definitely go back. Read more

Absolutely not worth it. Food was not good at all. Restaurant wasn?t even full and it took almost an hour for our chef to show... up. They also forgot our orders. Chef was very good and funny, waitress was very nice but food was not great. also we saw acockroach crawling under our chairs. Do not waste your time and money! Read more

This is my favorite restaurant. I have been here on several occasions the food is always immaculate. The staff is always super... nice and the chef always puts on a great show. You get plenty of delicious food for the money. Mikata is the best Japanesesteak house in the area. Read more

Always delicious food!! Has stayed in Columbus for a long time for a reason!! Filet, shrimp and sushi were all great!
