Love stopping here when I go thru Columbus... such a great alternative to fast food. Yesterday I ordered an Italian with a side... of fruit salad & a Sprechler's Cherry Soda... yum!!! Made fresh in front of you. Happy that they looked busy, even during nonprime hours. If I was local, I'd definitely shop for meats here. We have a similar place locally that we go to regularly. Decent sandwich, but tiny and way overpriced. They charge for each additional veggie you add as well.
It was a great experience dining here. It was quick to pick out our food and start dining. The environment is also relaxing,... with some interesting information about wines and meat on the chalkboard. I ended up ordering a Reuben sandwich and a pastasalad. Both were extremely good. Just know the Reuben had cole slaw in it, and that the vinaigrette dressing is extremely strongon the pasta salad (though I liked it because it had a lot of flavor). Went there for lunch again today. I just love having this option for carry out, close to my office. When you walk in it just... feels better than going to the fast food chains and you walk out feeling like you supported the community. Tried the baked beanstoday, and they were fantastic. Visited 8/9/18 What an open atmosphere, just a few tables and wooden chairs. The meats displayed in case capture your... attention. I wanted to buy it all... We ordered deli sandwiches. These sandwiches are good, but PRICEY. Two sandwiches, mac ncheese side, and chips cost $19. The size of the sandwiches was a smidgen bigger than a hamburger bun. You get 1/4 lb of sliceddeli meat, 1 cheese... etc Would we eat here again, probably not, but you don't come to the Savory Swine for food but ratherthe meats! Excellent selection of pork and beef! Always amazingly helpful with a great selection of top quality freshly butchered meats. I won't go anywhere else in town to get... steaks as they just don't measure up to the swine. Had an event hosted after hours and it was amazing as expected. I can't waitfor these folks to open their event space! Can't sing enough praises! Read more
