Reviews for Taco John's in Columbus, NE
Order was correct and timely. Food quality was ok, but below my expectation
The food took a long time to get & when we did, it was cold. When we asked for napkins the girl at the window was so rude &... crabby. We ordered Iced Tea, &we got Soda. When we pointed that out, she told us that we were wrong, & didn't offer to make itright. I asked to see he manager. He was as unpleasant as the girl. He refused to do anything to change the order. We are sodisappointed, bcuz the food was always good b4, the staff pleasant, & the previous manager was fantastic. Read more
My own rating is not important. I'm basically just here to say how disappointed I am in hearing that this place has gone down... hill, but, at the same time - it does not surprise me one bit. This was a great place to eat and the previous owners (or,should I say, the original - as I don't know how many it has gone through now) actually cared about quality and instilled thatin to their employees. It used to be one of the best, if not THE best Taco John's in Nebraska, if not in existence. But now?According to a lot of reviews, that wonderful reputation has been destroyed. So, to the current owners - you're failing. Stopfailing. Start caring more. If your employees don't care and can't handle the job, get rid of them. Don't settle for lackluster. If you, as an owner or manager do not care - you're in the wrong line of business. Fast Food restaurants and service get badreputations because of stuff like this. Care to rise about and get out of that stigma and stereotype! Had I the money, I'd buyit myself and learn all that I could to run it with the hope of bringing it back to greatness. But I'd likely not be able tokeep any employees considering I wouldn't deal with the non-sense that caused me to refuse working food-service ever again (thedrama, the cliques/high-school levels of cattiness, employees not caring/taking pride in their work and only wanting to getpaid). I'm truly sorry to anyone that has had a bad experience. To the loyal customers who have been going there for years andhave had to watch it's downfall, to the newcomers who have never seen or experienced the diamond it once was. Please trust mewhen I say, again, that it used to be amazing. Personal experience speaking from someone who used to work the other side of thecounter (usually the drive-thru). Read more
I've been a regular customer for almost 30 years. It's been a roller coaster ride! Was great decades ago then got really bad but... seems to be getting good again lately. Only drive-thru left with a roof to pull under, great for bad weather. Wish they ran morespecials & didn't try to sell you extra nacho cheese. Usually prompt service, food quality varies, 3 to 4.5 stars ???? Read more
I was there at 8:20pm on July 2nd (2022), and I have never seen a staff member so upset about an $80 order. It wasn?t rushed,... there was plenty of staff, and when I ordered 35 tacos for the family their cashier became visibly angry. He sighed, slammed thecash register shut, and began pouting. If you have a large family to feed, don?t order it here. The food was good, but theexperience not so much. Read more

Usually not too bad. Pretty bad this time, Oles cold and been around too long. The salad on the street tacos was overstocked so... looks like it wasn't kept cold, same with cheese. Total loss on an 18 dollar meal. Read more
