If I saw these reviews first, I might not have ordered. I'm glad I didn't, because the food was delicious! Ordered jerk chicken... with extra spice, plantains, cabbage, rice and beans-- all were delicious. Give this place a chance! Would order again. Read more

We ordered delivery through DoorDash in early August 2022, and even with a $10 off promo code applied, it felt like we wasted... our money. The cornbread was hard and yucky, definitely past its prime. The plantains and fries were lightly fried andcompletely unseasoned, but we dipped in our own sauces and added salt and both were fine (the fries were super mushy, but Idon't mind that). The coleslaw was meh--not horrible, but also not good and definitely not great. My dining companion said theYardie Chicken Sandwich was ok but bland, lacking any kind of expected jerk flavor, and he essentially had the same commentaryon the pepper steak taco he ordered in terms of it being bland. It wasn't a total disaster or anything, but it wasn't a positiveexperience. Read more

I ordered a jerk chicken burrito with jollof rice, grilled veggies, lettuce, tomatoes and black beans. The burrito was huge but... the rice was undercooked and, to be honest, not as flavorful as I know it should be. The veggies were barely there, no beans, just mostly bad rice. The chicken was grilled chicken with jerk sauce on top. What saved this whole meal were my hot, fresh, fried plantains. They had the right amount of crusty burn on the edges. IYKYK Also, they got my drink wrong. I orderedpineapple ginger and they gave me mango carrot. Read more

At first glance the food looks pretty good. Disregarding the mac and cheese. But the flavor is lacking, terribly. I?ve been to a... lot of Jamaican restaurants and have never had an issue with flavor but unfortunately my dinner just wasn?t what I expected.Service is good but otherwise the food isn?t much to write home about. Unfortunately giving this a 1 star, ordered the brown stew chicken with rice and peas, cabbage and macaroni and cheese. Also... ordered the jerk brisket with jollof rice, cabbage, plantain, and two beef patties. SIDES: The rice and peas were over cooked, mushy, and very underwhelming, tasted of nothing but salt. The jollof rice was an absolute disgrace; I tasted no tomato, pepper, herbs, onion or garlic but I definitely tasted BBQ sauce. The cabbage makes me weep; the yellow color was not impassionedseasoning, but was a dash of turmeric for color, there was no salt, pepper or herbs, completely dull and saddening. The macaroniand cheese was indigestible! Not cheesy at all and tasted like off brand velveeta cheese. The beef patties tasted likeyesterday; very oily, flat, lacked flakiness, and spice. There was barely any meat inside and the meat we did have was dry andlacked flavor. There were also big gaps in the patty. The plantain was 100% cooked in old grease at a high temperature, you cantaste the burnt bits of old food when you take a bite. The inside was not fully cooked either. MEAT: The brown stew chicken wasvery dry, and the gravy lacked flavor. It was strictly okay but did not give the flavors I?m used to. The brisket was justabsolutely shameful, it was stiff, tough, and drier than the Saharan desert. It tasted like it had been frozen for a VERY longtime, warmed then served. There were no flavors of jerk, and it was very disappointing. The after taste reminded me of freezerburn. Genuinely a shame to call this brisket, I could barely chew it. I wonder when they chefs tasted their food last becausethis was honestly atrocious. I would never go back here unless they did a revamp of the menu. This food made my stomach sad, andmy heart burn. Very unfortunate. Read more

Tried this place for the first and last time tonight I love Caribbean and especially Jamaican cuisine so I was very excited to... try this place. I ordered the pepper steak with jollof rice, cabbage and fried plantains. We waited for nearly 30 mins for aorder of two dinners. The food was beyond disappointing. All of the food tasted boiled and bland. The steak had absolutely nosauce or veggies. Just unseasoned dry steak shreds. I nearly cracked a tooth when I bite into a bone fragment. The cabbage wasso so. The rice was cold undercooked with large clumps in it. The plantains weren't terrible but they did taste chewy and likethey weren't fully riped when cooked. I'm used to my fried plantains being cooked with a little brown sugar and rum. These werejust plain fried. For the price, wait, and quality I'll pass I'm never eating here again. Read more

I ordered the oxtails, cabbage and plantains. It was good, not fabulous, but good. The portions were large enough. That food was... over-priced. Read more

We decided to try a new place because our regular place for Caribbean food was closed. So glad we tried Iris Jam! It?s our new... favorite. Such fresh and high quality ingredients. I got a size small jerk chicken, and it is enough for at least 2 meals. Theowners were so friendly and patient with me while I ordered. Eat here! Read more
