Excellent Fish and Chips! Marino's is in an old Arthur Treachers building and they started up where Arthur's left off. Wonderful... resurrection of fish and chips from the past but Marino's adds more. They also offer, fish chowder, smelt, crab cakes and evenbattered hotdogs. The staff at Mario's is very friendly and service was fast. All the food ordered was fresh and hot. Therestaurant is old, but well cared for and clean. No grease on the condiment bottles here. This is an outstanding and nostalgic style of establishment. The hush puppies are incredible with a unique flavor. The variety... and portions are great for the price. Marino's is obviously very popular because there was a steady crowd from parking,walk-in, and take out. There is no comparison to other establishments as the batter and other things were unique in flavor withmaybe the exception of the coleslaw which was still delicious. Definitely worth stopping by and stopping frequently if you haveopportunity. Read more
We ordered the hush puppies and the crab cakes. Neither tasted authentic. It tasted like frozen, processed food. I love hush... puppies, but was disappointed by the flavor. Perhaps other food on the menu is better, but that's all we ordered and we weren'tpleased. Read more
I live on the far east side of Columbus, but was in the area for an appointment and was excited to try this place. Honestly, I... felt it was just a step above Long John Silvers, and nothing spectacular. The clam chowder tasted exactly like Campbell'sChunky, and the rest of the food was exactly like something I could get in the freezer aisle and bake at home. I love this restaurant. I previously lived in the area so I was able to frequent it often. Not as much as I would like to now... since I don?t live close. The owners are always very friendly. The quality of the fish, chips and hush puppies are awesome. Itis usually so hot I burn my tongue. Glad they are still in business after all these years! Read more
I've never had a bad or negative experience at Marino's. The portions are always just right, and the batter they use on the fish... is perfect. Every time I go it feels like I'm being treated like family, you can tell they really value their customers. They'realways friendly and the food is always fresh and ready relatively quickly. My family loves Marino's. Read more
