Well, this is another time where I have to tell y'all to run and not walk to this restaurant! First, and honestly most... important, the customer service here was absolutely second to none. I sat at the bar as there was no wait for seating and thebar staff was just phenomenal. Even everyone who ran out the food to my seat was incredibly nice and professional. For theappetizer I had the pork cheeks and it was simply amazing! The pork combined with the flavors from the tomato gravy was a greatcombo. For my main course I went with the sea bass. This dish did not disappoint! It was by far the best prepared sea bass Ihave had anywhere in the world! Finally I decided to go with dessert since these folks had already hit two home runs with me. Iwent with the cronut, and while I'm not typically a dessert person this was phenomenal! It takes some real talent to do whatthey did with a donut. So yeah, awesome restaurant I would have given them 10 Stars if I could. This goes without needing to besaid but of course I will definitely be back many times. My husband and I noticed there was an entrance to The Guild House from our hotel (The Joseph) and made a last minute dinner... reservation from our hotel room. The adjoining door was very convenient during the cold month of February even if it only savedus a few steps in the cold to walk next door. The modern rustic decor was beautiful and the antique appetizer plates were veryunique and charming. Our booth was large and comfortable and there was a calm energy about the restaurant. On par with theCameron Mitchell brand our service was outstanding. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered oysters for anappetizer and they were so refreshing. I Highly recommend trying them! My husband ordered the cavatelli and I had the sea bass.My sea bass wasn't seasoned to my liking and my husband wasn't too fond of his cavatelli but disaster was averted when we foundwe enjoyed what the other had ordered so we just ended up switching entrees! When you are with the right company, any restaurant could feel ideal. However, the Guild House delivered in every way. When we... first walked in, the hostess cracked jokes and connected with us immediately—than were the compassion of the kindheartedwaitresses who went out of their way to help serve us. Even the management took pleasure in attending to us. Then, the food.The food was impossibly satisfying. I had the lobster and eggs. The dish was both flavorful and filling. Each ingredient dancedacross my palate, making my taste buds smile. I would recommend if you are ever in the arena district, you do yourself a favorand have a bite. Read more
Beautiful ambiance, we enjoyed most of our dishes, my dish had some lobster bits in it that had an offensive smell and tasted... just as bad. Our server was very personable. Our well behaved daughters were treated wonderfully and we overall enjoyed ourtime. Never felt rushed. There was some type of apple dessert that was just amazing. Thank you for our experience! Table service was great . Dining fare is locally sourced when available. The sea bass I ordered was cooked perfectly. The food... choices of my tablemates yielded satisfaction. Came here for brunch and it was a delightful experience. Beautifully decorated, great food, and equally friendly service. The... server even let me get a scoop of Johnson’s ice cream, which is one of their many local food source partners. Their house madestrawberry jam was the jam! Read more
Came here for my boyfriend and I'd anniversary and it was the perfect spot! The atmosphere was just perfect! Had a great... romantic feel for the occasion. The food was phenomenal! We had the cheese plate and my bf had the steak tartar for appetizersand they were so delicious. I was a big fan of the ricotta with the jam on the crustini. Definitely recommend. I had the Joycefarms chicken for my meal amd he had the Halibut. Both were so good! I can't recommend them enough. The hottest sat us at agreat table for our anniversary right beside the fire place and all the staff was so kind to us ??. Definitely a perfectanniversary or any special occasion spot! We had the valet parking which was great since parking on High Street can be annoyingsometimes. So we didn't even have to worry about parking! 10/10 Read more
