Decided we needed to have a change of pace and went to Old Bag of Nails on Nelson Road. Greeted right away and seated. Our... server was Maujaurah., this was the most polite, excited person I?ve met in a long. Exudes happiness to everyone. So excitedwhen I asked for a picture, he insisted on taking a selfie with me. Who does that? On to the meal. You go to Old Bag for fish,duh!!!! The fish was cooked fresh, Yummmy stuff. Fries were freshly cooked. Coleslaw was delicious. I only enjoy extra crispy fish. I requested extra crispy fish but the batter was soggy, wet and fell off the fish.

Great food, friendly servers, and huge portion sizes! There aren?t a lot of vegetarian options here for their mains, but I got... the nacho appetizer (meatless) as a main with a small side salad, and it was a ton of food! The side salad was fresh romaine,with cheddar, carrots and a nice vinaigrette, and the nachos were loaded black beans, salsa, cheese and jalapeños. Definitely astep above standard pub fare! I've lived down the street from this restaurant for over a year now and I finally went here for dinner! We went on a Wednesday... around 6 pm and there wasn't a wait. The patio was full so we sat inside at one of the high tops. I think the restaurant itselfwas renovated recently and it looks really nice on the inside! Unfortunately I didn't get many photos while I was there but Icould tell it had been updated. We didn't have to wait long for our waitress to greet us and get our drink orders. The wait forthe food didn't take too long either, maybe 15-20 minutes. My order came out incorrect (I ordered onion rings and I was givenfries). I let the waitress know and she put in the correct order. Then, the onion rings were brought out and the honey mustardsauce was missing lol. Overall, the food was fairly good. My husband and my mom enjoyed what they ordered but weren't overlyimpressed. I wanted to order the milkshake for dessert but they were out of ice cream. ???? Other than the food, there was asmall group of people with a child who was yelling, running circles around the restaurant, and walking all over the booths andtables (where they were not sitting). This was rather annoying and shocking that none of the employees asked the mother torestrain her child. My mom noticed that a couple was seated at a table where the little girl was walking on the table and no onewiped it down before they sat down. ???? Honestly, the chaos that ensued there is what knocked down my experience. Personally, Idon't know if I'll go back because letting a kid walk on the table and not wipe it down before someone sat there is just not mycup of tea. Read more
