The meat on 3 of the 4 dishes was very tough & chewy. The flavors were very good.

Excellent and unique Thai food! The eggplant stir fry with chicken was delicious, but the Ocean Thai Seafood dish was out of... this world. All the seafood (generous portions; mussels, scallops, squid, shrimp, fish, and a wonderful medley of vegetablesthat somehow all worked together) was cooked perfectly. Service was wonderful too. This place is my dad?s favorite lunch spot. Read more

Soup was not warm & curry was watery. I have experienced thai food at various locations but this one was not up to standard.

Let's talk Thai. We all have our favorites - pad thai, pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, curry, the list goes on. No matter what... your favorite is, I can almost guarantee that you will not only find it here, but also absolutely love it. Koon Thai Kitchen ismy personal go-to for my Thai food cravings when I'm in the San Diego area. My personal favorites are their moo duo platter(which is an assortment of pork in a sweet savory sauce) and their pad see ew - both classic Thai dishes, but made extremelywell here. The portions are quite sizable that I find myself always with leftovers (perfect for a second meal). Of note, myspice tolerance is practically non-existent. These dishes are in my wheelhouse, and I find them both enjoyable and flavorful. Now, if you are a spice lover, then fear not. They definitely don't skimp on the spice here, so your tongue will be in goodhands. All in all, if you love Thai food, then you should definitely check out Koon Thai Kitchen! Read more

It's a Monday evening and pouring rain. We only have a few local hideouts that are perfect for just such occasions and Koon is... now one of them. We haven't been in since Ken's charming sushi & thai spot moved out of state. We will always miss Ken but AJ &his wife have kept the warm ambiance and they make incredible food. Also, Tanya is darling and my new fashion icon. We'retrying to make healthy choices and we love comfort food. Most of the time it's one or the other, but we were able to getdelicious, healthy comfort food here! The flavors were bright, the vegetables were crunchy and fresh. We truly regret waitingso long to try Koon Thai Kitchen. Once the fun bar vibe returns this will be a 5* [Photo: Hot Tea, Fresh Spring Rolls, GingerDuck Stir-Fry & Mango Shrimp Curry] Read more

Good local Thai food at reasonable prices. They have okay happy hour deals with really long hours. Portion size is fairly... large. The food was good, but tastes a little on the healthy side (less salt/spice/flavor). That could be a plus for somepeople, but I like the extra strong flavors I've experienced at other Thai places. Still a good place & I'd be willing to tryit again. Read more
