Bartender in the back room was running flat out, still had nice customer service, checked in when he could, etc. Food was... fabulous, had a steak frites and chicken pot pie, the latter had some seasonal sides, very high quality food. Would recommendthis place. Option to sit in the bar instead of waiting for a table outside was great. Read more

Seemed pricey for pretty average fare, waterfront in the true sense, great seats right by the water and comfortable seating.

Had lunch here in the bar. The drinks were tasty, the food amazing, * go for the truffle fries... addicting. We also had dinner... at liberty which is the restaurant located at the Colonial Inn as well. i highly recommend it. Same menu as the bar. Read more

Loved the chicken pot pie. New England clam chowder was fresh and savory. Excellent traditional fare. Sit outside for a lovely... garden view, you won't be disappointed. Read more

The food is tremendous, if you are up for noise pollution. This beautiful landmark building is centrally located at a roundabout... and while outside dining is a fabulous pastime for people watching, you are bound to hear horns honking, babies crying and dogsbarking. But back to the fabulous food. I had crabcakes, clam chowder, flat bread with roasted peppers and pesto all incredible. My husband had the inn burger, medium rare and was quite pleased. Read more

We were staying at the Colonial Inn and decided to try out one of their restaurants. We were not disappointed. We started out... with the meat and cheese platter appetizer. The selection was a wonderful start to the meal with a wide variety of differentcheeses and meats. My husband ordered the New York Strip and I ordered their stated award-winning braised short ribs fordinner. We were not disappointed in either entree. The bread basket has fresh baked rolls and cornbread. The waitstaff was welltrained and very helpful when ordering. Our server even snuck an extra piece of cornbread which she noticed I enjoyed in mytakeout box. We will be back again. Read more
