Very nice laid back off the road place. I wanted brisket but that wasn't available.. I just went with something simple for first... time. My food was actually great. Definitely couldn't eat it all.. I ordered ribs and usually whenever I order ribs it's always cooked very well and smothered w bbq however the ribs i was served... were cold and not very tasty, it smelled like old meat that was left out for a couple of days it left a very disgusting tastethat of course I had to run to the restroom and let it all out, the only thing that was okay was the sweet tea everything elsenot so good. I was starving after a long day and as usual I was craving ribs and decided to try a different restaurant. I seen the reviews... and reviewed the comments what not, it seemed like a good place so I decided to try it out, the service was good. But the foodwas something completely different, the ribs looked like they just slapped barbecue sauce on it, no taste nor crisp or anything!Mac and cheese tasted and looked like it was sitting out for a good minute. I got a roll with my dish, and next thing you know Ireceived hamburger buns. The sweet tea was mid as well, the cup tasted like it wasn't washed well. As I was leaving I heard thewaitress who was attending me say "they didn't eat our food" loud enough for everyone to hear. Like if I didn't pay for it. Itwasn't worth paying for. Next time if she'd like she can pay for my meal since it so what bothered her. The meat also left ahorrible smell in my mouth, so I do not recommend this place at all. Read more
It had been a while since out last visit. I decided on the hamburger steak with onions and gravy, mashed potatoes and gravy, &... salad. Entire meal was great. Blue cheese dressing was fantastic. Came with 3 hush puppies and a pickle. My wife had a BBQtray.. Came with slaw & 3 hush puppies. Hush puppies were hot and fresh. She loved the BBQ. She couldn't eat it all, solunch tomorrow. Considering today's pricing, I was pleased. I'd highly recommend. Read more
To date, best BBQ in North Carolina! The smoked turkey slices were off the hook! Wished they were offered chopped as a Smoked... Turkey BBQ dish! All the sides dishes for the 3 of us were delicious! Definitely will be saving this hidden gem in my FAVs! Read more
I absolutely LOVE the food at this restaurant, except for tonight! This was the first time ever that the food was not up to the... standards that I'm use too. The ribs were burnt, the pulled pork was dry with no sauce on the pulled pork or on the side. Thechicken was okay. Not sure what happened this evening but I must say my dinner was ruined. Read more
My wife ate at this restaurant today and she did like the barbecue chicken and she did like the baked beans did not like the... macaroni and cheese, tasted old. She thought the hush puppies tasted like old grease. She did not like the plates andsilverware in the restaurant. I loved the barbecue chicken be sure to order the 1/2 chicken, not the 1/4, the beans weregreat, lots of molasses. Hush puppies were OK cole slaw was pretty good to. Read more
Came here for lunch on 12-06-2022 and had the brisket plate. Got the green beans and Mac n cheese. All the food was good, sides... were on point, hush puppies were hittin too. Gave it 4 stars because of the brisket. A lil dry and needed sauce. Had a goodtaste. I would definitely come back. Read more
