Great little resturant right off 44 in MO. Exit 113. My husband's parents always go here on trips to see us. Told us we had to... stop. Now, our own tradition. Great breakfast buffet with lots of options. The bacon is awesome! They do not skimp on quality.Was around 945 on a Sunday. Got right in. Started to get a little busy as we were eating. Their cinnamon roll is the size of myface! Haven't had one, but look amazing. Will ha e to try one sometime. Read more
Food was very good. My wife, children and I were very pleased. Prices are very good, you're not overpaying for what you get.... The cinnamon rolls from here are amazing. If you're getting breakfast you have to get one, be warned they are huge. I will bereturning for Sunday breakfast buffet for certain. Read more
When we went, there was only one other couple eating. We were greeted immediately, seated, and then in short order our drinks... were on the table and our order put in. The whole area was clean and rustic, and the waitresses were personable and attentive.Food delicious, too! We were wondering why it was so empty, but it turns out we had got there just in time to miss the rush!Lucky for us and good for them! Highly recommend!! Read more
The Rocking Chair Restaurant was an absolute delight to go to. Probably the nicest wait staff I've seen in YEARS! We came in an... hour before closing on a Saturday and the staff was as welcoming as if they had just got there. They worked all day and youwouldn't know it. I had the Chicken Fried Steak, which was good. But the five star service was why I would recommend it handsdown. And, once the meal is over, do yourself a favor and get some cherry cobbler with ice cream on top. It's down home cookingthat'll make you miss your grandma's house. Read more

Great atmosphere and restaurant was very clean! My husband and I had the Chicken Special with fried chicken, mashed potatoes... and gravy with a Choice of 1: Brown Beans, Green Beans, Slaw, or peaches. Only food I recommend! Meatloaf and the roast beefdinner are both BAD! Meatloaf was just a thin beef patty with No Substance!! Roast beef was old and tasted old, weird, & washard to cut up!! Apple Pie is Bad, too! It is made with Applesauce, so it's an APPLESAUCE PIE! Restrooms were very clean andwarm. Our waitress, Ashley, did an excellent job! She was the only one waiting on all of the tables! There were several otherwomen employees, but she was waiting on everyone, cleaning the tables, placing the orders, and refilling drinks while they stoodaround. One is the cashier that was rarely busy, so maybe she could help with refills, cleaning tables, or something. Theother one wrapped some silverware for a little while. Our waitress was great! This locally owned restraint has a warm and wonderful atmosphere. They have a friendly waitstaff as well, their service is... always with a smile. Don't get me started on thier frog legs they have on thier all you can eat buffet!!! Only $11.99, you can'tbeat the price for all you can eat frog ???? legs and seafood buffet on Friday night's!!! Buffet is from 5pm to 8pm. This is hands down one of the best local restaurants to ever go to! They have such amazingly delicious food, the sweetest most... caring staff, they're so attentive, charismatic and they are fast with your food!
