This was the venue for the meet and greet at my class reunion. The live band was great. They brought back some wonderful... memories with some old school music I have not heard in years. They mixed in some nice jazz pieces too. The food was superb. Thereunion menu was peas, collard greens, sweet potato souffle, macaroni and cheese, creamed grits, shrimp gravy, shrimp pasta,fried chicken, and fried swai fish. Everything was delicious. Read more

Even if you have to drive a bit to get to this place, do it. It worth the drive. Good size place, nice ambiance and people. Food... is great. I tried their salmon dish, good size portion, well prepared and seasoned. Their Mac and cheese is off the chain, makesure you order that. Read more
Talk about a Hidden Gem!!! This place is awesome. I was in the area with a friend who flew in and we wanted to try somewhere... new. I discovered this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Upon walking in you notice the simple yet inviting setup of the dining area. The hostess at the stand greeted us with a smile and we were able to be seated immediately. I became evenmore excited when I noticed the live band setting up. Food and Live Music combined always makes for a good time. Within minutesof being seated our waitress arrived at our table. She was very pleasant and welcomed us to the establishment. Of course Iordered the sweet tea. She promised me it was homemade so I had to try it… it was well worth the try. As we reviewed the menuwe were provided with a plate of Mini Sweet Potato Corn Muffins (4). Not only is this a great touch from a service perspective,but the flavor is amazing. Not too sweet, not too salty. A perfect blend of sweet, salty, and sweet potato flavor to please thepalate. These would pair great with a cup of coffee as well. LoL! I decided on the Fried Chicken plate with Greens and SweetPotato Soufflé as my sides. When I tell you this meal was mouth-pleasing and soul-stirring! Oh my gosh. This was what I neededthat I didn’t even know I needed. The chicken was golden fried with true southern charm. The meat was so moist and filling.This is what friend chicken is all about. It is truly the dominant presence on the plate as the presentation captivates the eyewhile the flavor captivates the taste buds and pleases the soul. Genuine Soul Food! The Greens were seasoned and paired wellwith the chicken. They were perfectly tender and hit the spot. The Sweet Potato Soufflé was a nice balance creator as it hadjust enough sweet to go with the salt provided by the chicken and greens. The added walnuts were a great addition for a texturevariation. Great service and great food. Everything was prepared to perfection. I really enjoyed the fried fish, shrimp and grits, and the... macaroni and cheese. The grits were yellow which was a change from the usual for me, but they tasted amazing. The drinks werereally good and that sweet potato bread was perfect. Love this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the live band's performance kept us entertained. It was such a vibe. The food was just okay but the BAND was definitely banging!!???? Real old school jams for the grown and sexy crowd. ???? Very... casual atmosphere good for date night or girls night out. But sticky floors so prepare for that...I was ready.???????????????Took quite awhile to get out food and drinks but my server was so sweet it was hard to be upset. Read more
