Came here for the first time with my best friend. Food was amazing. Customer Service was great our servers name was Pedro. He... did an amazing job checking on us. The food was fresh came out fast and tasted amazing. If you're in Cookeville TN I wouldrecommend you try this place especially if you like authentic Mexican food! You won't be disappointed. The food is great, but the service depends upon who you get as a server. As a single person, I tend to get bad service bc they... automatically assume I'm not going to tip well. Not true in my case, but that doesn't stop them from ignoring me. There is onegirl here who gives great service, but I don't know her name. Read more
We are from Houston Texas and found the food perfectly spiced and served excellently. The price is under what we would expect at... home. This is not TexMex where bad meat is concealed with heat that burns your mouth. Read more
Haven't been here for year but tried it again recently. Much better than I remember. Went to the location on Jefferson Ave.... Seated right away. Service is fast and friendly. We had the Burrito Especial, Street Tacos, Enchiladas and Nachos. Read more

I had a pretty underwhelming experience. Ordered cheese enchiladas to go, they told me 15 minutes, got there in 10 and waited... inside for the 5 minutes. They brought my food out and it was ice cold. The cheese inside the enchiladas had already solidifiedas if they were made hours prior. The queso also was cold. Nothing tasted bad. In fact the solidified cold queso was prettygood. The enchiladas were ok. Probably would have been good if the food was atleast warm. Read more
I was driving thru the area on my way to Nashville. El Tapatio is an absolutely terrific find. I was a little concerned when... we drove in saw the restaurant was part of a hotel. The friendly, fast, attentive service was amazing. Alfredo is a top notchserver. Our group did not have to ask for anything. We had a table of eight and everyone complemented and enjoyed their meals. I would highly recommend the burrito grande. I would make El Tapatio my Mexican restaurant of choice if I lived in the area. Read more
