They do traditional hibachi (we'll be going back for that next time!) but our first visit here was due to a need for sushi! Our... order was taken quickly and the food for three people came out quite quickly. If you read this and then go look at their menupic 1 is the Mermaid roll and pic 3 is a classic Crunchy Shrimp roll. As soon as you walk through the door a vivid specialsboard greets you with names and descriptions of their seasonal items, when we went most of them were Halloween related and theyall sounded so good we took a decent amount of time trying to decide if we were ordering from the board or the menu ????. This was my first visit to Fuji Hibachi & Sushi and I have to say, I was impressed. We went on the recommendation of a friend. I... have to admit, I may have judged a book by its cover as I was not impressed by the outer appearance of the place. That feelingwas quickly replace once we stepped inside. We ordered drinks and the teriyaki chicken bento box. We were blown away with thequality of the food and the sushi! The bento box had so many options to enjoy and was so much food for the coin. I had gotten the spicy role set of sushi and it was definitely not what I was expecting based on the description from the... menu. I ended up with a stomach ache from eating just a couple of pieces. There was little to no fish (I did not taste any) andit was filled to the brim with panko breadcrumbs (which were somewhat greasy and contributed to my stomach ache). Every-time I visit I’m never disappointed and the staff is so sweet. Always Good food!

We come here often since 2019. We have ordered take out from their online too. For the food you get it's great! Customer service... is Okay and decent. They aren't going to roll out the red carpet for you. My family and I love it. Chicken can be over cooksometimes. Tofu is has nice consistency. The ginger sauce is great ! Their rice is decent. Third Bad visit. No more! As much as I love sushi and hibachi. This will be the last time I go to this restaurant. The last... three visits , I said let’s give them one more chance. I will usually order hibachi and my husband would get sushi. Firsttime they served me my food and 25 minutes later my husband got his order. On our second visit I asked that they bring ourfood out together. This time , my hibachi meal was cold. Which they were happy to bring me out some warm food but again I’mhaving to wait. On this last visit I get served a Fortune cookie paper in my miso soup. How that happened I have no ideasince the fortune cookies come wrapped in cellophane. The bathrooms are dirty. Sink stopped up. You have to go through a dirtycurtain to get to the bathroom. I normally don’t write bad reviews. But after 3 times I’m done. Three strikes your out! Read more

This is my family's favorite restaurant to go to for a special treat. Usually we go just for sushi and appetizers, but every now... and then for an extra splurge, we'll sit at the hibachi table. Everyone here is very nice and the food is so delicious! Itypically take my kids here at least once a month (usually after we pay rent ????) because that's where they want to eat when Iask them, and I'm usually hoping that they will ask to eat at Fuji because I want it too! Slow service especially for a lunch in a small town where no one visits. The sushi was good for being in Cookeville and... suspringly fresh. Would've gave it 4 maybe 5 stars had the service not been slow and the waitress forgetting my beer. I'm fromTexas, never forget the beer. Read more
