Rice Time Bistro and House of Thai (owned by same people) have bug infestations. I have eaten at both the last couple of months... and had bugs in my food. Photos attached. I was told by several people who work at both kitchens they have a huge roachinfestation and poor food hygiene. I have asked to speak to the owner each time and he refuses to come out of the kitchen. Toobad - these places were my favorite in Cookeville. Read more

Rice Time Bistro is incredible! We just finally tried this place tonight and the experience overall was worthy of 5 stars. The... only reason I wasn?t able to give the full 5 was their fryer is broken and they were not able to make egg rolls, tempura, or anyfried items, which we were looking forward too. I will be back and will happily give that extra star when the fryer is fixed. The only other reason I didn?t give the full 5 stars is they were out of almost all of their drinks. They only had 1 coconutmango milk left, which we bought and it was really good. Now let?s get into the good part, the food! The portion sizes weremonstrous! Well worth the price. The curry?s were incredible. I will say they could of been more spicy, but the flavors were outstanding. The fried rice was also really good. The monster fried rice is supposed to be ?extremely hot/Thai hot? and I?d saymaybe equivalent to taco bell fire sauce, so the heat level didn?t impress me much, but the flavor blew me away. Everything wasreally well seasoned. They are not stingy with the tofu either. Great vegetarian and vegan options. The hot bar is not veryveggie friendly though. Gotta go to the menu for the goods. The garlic chili oil is some of the best I?ve ever had. Our serverwas really awesome. Very nice guy. Love that they have outdoor seating! The ambiance is great. Highly recommended if you arelooking for somewhere good to eat in Cookeville! Read more

Corrugated metal in the dining room is reminiscent of a Vietnam era bar. The food is excellent, and the price is just as good... love this place. Read more

First time I tried Thai Iced Tea - loved it! Had a Shrimp Tempura Appetizer, which was awesome. The Shoyu Ramen was delicious.... The discount you get when wearing a mask was nice as well (5%). Definitely gonna go again. Read more

Food was really good, portions were also good. They didn't have an item on the menu I wanted. And they added an item to my bill... I didn't want, so check your bill. Read more

The food was good but the service was the worst. 2nd visit, went at 5:30 the only ones in the place and our waiter never once... refilled our glasses. My husband had to get up twice to refill our own glasses, the waiter was sitting on his phone. I mean comeon, really? Read more
