Whitt's catered my wedding. The food was absolutely delicious, and Chris was very easy to work with and even went above and... beyond to deliver the food himself when he did not have an available worker. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is becauseChris called me an hour before the food was supposed to be delivered to the venue to ask if it was alright if he could go aheadand drop it off, as he was already there, which did cause a bit of issue with the day's timeline and my schedule for gettingready. I love going here for lunch and dinner. My favorite things to get are the pork potato, nachos and a good ole bbq pork sandwich.... The sweet tea is also some of my favorite in Cookeville. Staff is always do friendly and i never wait long at all. I woulddefinitely recommend this place for your bbq needs.! Read more
It had been awhile since I had any good BBQ. Then my good friend takes me to Whitts BBQ in downtown Cookeville Tennessee.... Honestly Boy am I glad he did?! Perfectly cooked and sweet n spicy sauces with a platter you get a pile of bbq, potato salad nbaked beans for 2 sides. I know where I'll be going at least once a week now. I had never eaten at a Whitt's Barbecue until this one opened in Cookeville. The funny thing is, I never order bbq from here,... because I got stuck on their BBQ chickens from the beginning! I normally get a half chicken by itself. Unfortunately, most bbqplaces don't have side items that are worth the money to me, and this is true here as well. I also get the bbq potato onoccasion, and if you haven't gotten it before, be ready....IT'S HUGE!!! Over all it's a good place. The employees are alwaysfriendly as well. Read more

I love to go here for one of their pulled pork sandwiches....get it with everything and it comes with slaw, pickles, a dab of... mayo and a squirt of barbecue sauce. Just yummy. I don't believe there's any indoor seating offered, mostly a drive thru typeplace, but there are tables outside under a pergola style roof. Read more
