this was my first experience at outback steakhouse and wasn?t very impressed. i was excited to try this Australian themed chain... yet it reminded me more of a cellar. the interior, lighting and overall ambience was very dark and grungy. our waiter was verykind but took awhile to get to us. the food was extremely average. i am quite disappointed that the bloomin? onion and friedchicken taste exactly the same. in fact, any fried object tastes the same as they give the same sauce, use the same batter andoil for everything. overall my meal tasted very homogenous and oily. i was very satisfied with my meal and for it being more onthe expensive side, i probably will not be returning any time soon. The Maitre d She said it would be a 30 minute wait, which only turned out to be 15 minute instead. We get seated Me My Son My... Daughter-in-law and my grandson. Our waitress comes to ask if we like anything to drink or appetizers. Brings rolls to thetable, I ordered a Strawberry Lemonade which was Really Good. I asked for a 8oz. Sirloin well done with mashed potatoes andmacaroni and cheese. I truly enjoyed the meal. Definitely will be coming back. Read more
First, let me start with the Bloomin Onion- it seems to have gotten smaller but it never disappoints. It has to be one of our... favorite entrees from any restaurant. Now for the steaks- I had the sirloin and it was a little tough. My wife has the filet andit was very tender. I recommend paying more for the filet on any future visit. Service was very good. Food was really good. I enjoyed their lemonades as well as their service. The restaurant itself was very clean, including the... bathroom. Seems like they might be a bit understaffed right now, which is understandable, but we still got fantastic service.For appetizer, we got the fried mushrooms and they were pretty good.
