We stopped by on our way through town and had a great meal. This place is busy because they have great food. There are a wide... range of options but we had the buttered scallops and halibut fish and chips. Laid back atmosphere with friendly staff. We have been in Coos Bay for two years now, and have been looking for a great fish place to eat. Our friends from California... were coming in, and we thought we would try fisherman?s grotto. By far the best place we have eaten. Not only was the foodextremely delicious, we had eight people in our party they got us in right away, everybody in our party order somethingdifferent, and it was exceptional!!! Fabulous fresh pasta with seafood and lightly grilled veggies make this a real winner! Bring a carryout container with you. I... couldn't come close to eating it all at one sitting. A quick microwave heat up and you will have a lovely second meal. Read more

Fisherman's Grotto is always good. Not a fancy restaurant but the best fish and chips in the coos basin by far. They are... reasonably priced as well. We have been going here for years, every time we visit Charleston we go to fisherman's Grotto.Friendly staff every time and quick service to get a good meal fast.
