Definitely a "Welcome to Texas" kind of place. We brought guests visiting from out of town, they thoroughly enjoyed it. You can... feel the BBQ vibes as soon as you arrive at the parking lot, so much smoke coming out. Just behind me on the line, was againvisitors from out of town. I overheard them saying "I think I overdid it", as the picked up so much more than needed inexcitement. Read more

Hard Eight BBQ is just absolutely amazing. This place is awesome. The last time that we have eaten here was about four years... ago. When we were able to return to this part of the country we added this restaurant to our itinerary and we will again. We didlive nearby and due to work we moved to another state. But we still return from time to time to visit friends. We think of HardEight BBQ as an old friend. We can’t wait to return for another visit. Read more

Awesome Texas Pit Style BBQ! There were 3 of us at dinner and we just ordered pretty much everything they had and went to... town... It was my first time trying BBQ Bologna and it was really good. Their house hot sauce was amazing as well. Read more

I had never been to a place like this before - it is pretty amazing. It was 100+ degrees outside, but they had multiple smokers... going and the food that you choose from was sitting on a hot grill. We ordered the brisket and a sausage and that was plenty forthe two of us. This is a legit BBQ place and if you are in the area this is the place to go! If you have a large party there isplenty of space for all of you. We found an area off the outdoor patio that was actually indoors with A/C - that was the placeto be! Read more

Pretty darn good. We got off the plane and had to find some brisket. Found this place. Smoky as all get out in the parking lots... and had many cords of wood. I knew it was going to be good. The meats were all good. The cobblers were a little gummy but stilltasty. Didn't have any other sides. The walk through cafeteria style is funky fun. All the help were great. Lots of parking. I'dgo back and try some chicken and maybe some smoked bologna. Oh yeah, the fried okra was really good and was a very largeportion. Read more

Tasty food and cool experience from a home grown Californian. The area where we ordered our meat was so hot and humid... (understandably) so the covered outdoor seating was a nice refuge. Their food has was tasty and a sure fire way to fatten youup! Read more

Tasty food and a great experience! Huge location with plenty of parking. You walk in the door and you can see the pits smoking.... Large warming area and they let you select the type and amount of meat. We were able to try most. Just got smaller portions andshared. We tried the ribs, pulled pork (a bit salty but still good), brisket (tender and tasty), sausage (delicious), turkeybreast (amazing), and bologna. They had individual potato salad and mac with cheese. Perfect size for a person. They also hadindividual banana pudding (excellent) and whiskey pie (good). Try their hot sauce! All the food was great. Nice big seating areawith a bar and TV's. Huge patio . This is a great spot to try Texas BBQ! Read more

Good BBQ, that seems to be a bit different than the normal fare. Most of the flavors, tastes, and even some of the food... textures are a bit different from my expectations. The pork BBQ has very distinct notes of beer, which I enjoyed. I asked forbread (for a sandwich delivery system) but ended up not using it as the pork was great alone. The pork ribs were prettystandard but were still well seasoned and moist. Personally, I didn't care for the coleslaw. The jalapeño sweet corn had avery sweet taste and almost a bread pudding consistency. Overall, I would highly recommend a stop to try out these unique tastyflavors. Read more
