The food was hot and tasty but the steak in carne asada had lot of rubbery chewy bites. The chimichanga was well done.

This used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant. We've always been very loyal to this restaurant. This evening, we were rudely... seated and tossed menus. We waited well over 20 minutes before the waitress took our order. And, then we waited again! While wewaited, we watched others who came in after us have their order taken, have it brought to them and they ate and left. FINALLY,only after we asked another waiter to check on our food, our waitress brought our order! NONE of our food was hot. It wasn'teven warm! Taco salads were soggy and cold! Chicken quesadilla was cold & soggy. I told our waitress that our food was cold &she says in a very mocking, sarcastic way, "You want him to make you a new order?" As I was telling her 'yes,' she says, "or howabout he reheats it for you in the oven?" Seriously?? I can "reheat" food at home! At that point, we asked for the check.Waitress yells that our food hadn't been "sitting long!" Oh, I can tell you, it had been sitting long enough to get cold! Whywould someone even try to serve food to someone that had been sitting out in the open for God knows how long...people breathingall over it & walking by it! And then to deny it when asked!! We won't be back. And the worse part is that I'm sure I'm moreupset from losing my favorite Mexican restaurant than you are for losing a customer. The food we had at El Rio was awesome. It was a holiday weekend and we received excellent, quick service. We had the Mexican... guacamole, fajitas and carnitas and it was all amazing. Chips were also awesome, they taste homemade. We?ll definitely be back! Read more
Charming place in Copper Hill, TN. We ordered Pollo Tropical, a grilled chicken dish and Nachos Supreme. The nachos have both... shredded chicken and beef, along with beans, lettuce and tomato and topped with a melted cheese sauce. They were both great! Lucky for us, our first dinner choice was closed. That sent us wandering and we stumbled upon El Rio. I?d be lying if I didn?t... say that Mexican food in North Georgia felt very sketchy to me, but paint me shocked; it?s was pretty darn good. Our server washustling. She was worth 5 stars on her own. Food was good, plates were smoking hot, but the food wasn?t too spicy. We enjoyed ataco salad and a veggie burrito, both we quite tasty. We?d definitely return next time we are up. We topped the dinner off witha walk around the block and over the river. Ducks were quacking and live music just around the corner filled the air. It was anawesome evening fueled by El Rio. Read more
