Tried this place out for the first time. We had the marinated beef and pork short ribs. The beef was tasty but the pork was just... okay. I had a few pieces of the beef that were hard and fatty. The portion size for the meat was average. The soup appetizer, kimchi, and pickled raddish were good. They provided a pitcher of water, no complimentary tea offered. The selection on themenu is minimal. Service was average. We had to wave over to the waiters every time we needed something. They did not come upto us and ask how things were after they gave us our food. Overall, the food was decent but I wouldn't come back when there areother Korean BBQ restaurants with more selection. Not a lot of selections on the menu, but the ingredients are fresh. Service is great and I like the atmosphere. Great place for... gathering for beer. We ordered marinated beef rib and fresh pork skin belly. There are only selections for either pork or beefwith marinated flavor or fresh (unmarinated). The meal comes with a small stone pot, half filled tofu bean soup, which to me,tasted too salty. Besides the soup, the side dishes come with kimchi, sour and sweet marinated radish, marinated onion and abowl of salad. The salad is blended with light sour sauce, which gives a refreshing taste. We also ordered their cold buckwheatKorean noodle soup which I think is their best dish. The flavor taste a bit sour, since they've added the sweet and sour radishalong with a few slices of tasteless beef, shredded cucumber and half of full cooked boiled egg on top. Personally I like thelight taste and it feels refreshing if you don't like to eat too much meat. They don't have many selections on the menu, if youare looking to eat just beef or pork korean,BBQ, then this restaurant can be added to your selection. However, personally I willprefer more variety in flavors and other Korean dish options because it feels that you can simply buy the same beef or pork fromthe grocery and BBQ at home for better price. Came here with a group of 8 for a birthday dinner and was not disappointed. The cuts of beef and pork were varied and very... fresh. Each one holding its own, from pork jowls to galbi. The soup and sides which came with the main BBQ was also very good, genuinely impressed. Topped with excellent service and a very good night was had by all. Read more

Definitely my favorite Korean BBQ House Marinated Short Rib is what I always get! Like the flavor of the side dishes, soup is a... little salty for my taste but you can just add a bit of water and it's perfect! Clean place and good staff Read more

We?ve been wanting to try Korean BBQ and after hearing good reviews, we went to Galbi Korean BBQ at Pinetree Village in... Coquitlam. It was SO good and everything was very fresh. The meat was SO tender! We ordered two combos that came with ahalf-size cold buckwheat noodles: Marinated Pork Short Rib with regular cold noodles and skin-off Pork Belly with spicy coldnoodles. It was a lot of food for two people and we left the restaurant very happy! ?? #Foodspotting #GalbiBBQ #KoreanBBQ#Coquitlam Read more

Friendly service and they have all the essentials! The quality and cut of the pork jowl is the best I?ve had out of many Korean... bbq places in Coquitlam. The marinated pork rib is amazing too! Just two servings of meat and the cold noodles are more thanenough for two people. Read more

Great quality meats, tasty banchan, and the BBQ meats came with a delicious stew! Unfortunately the menu is pretty small and a... number of items were unavailable. The space was also so lacking in ventilation that they had to prop the door open... and it'sstill a little cold for that, especially for the table right by the door. Would definitely recommend making a reservation! Read more

We were very excited to have another Korean BBQ spot close by and had to give this place a try as we love Asian BBQ... restaurants. We visited on a Saturday evening and it was already lively when we got there. As our meal progressed a line alsostarted to form outside so it's nice to see the turnover is fresh. The staff were also hustling like crazy so props to them, they were all working so hard and running around like crazy serving everyone. We ordered the marinated short rib, the mariantedshoulder/collar, fresh skin off belly, 2 orders of rice, and spicy buckwheat noodles. The food was all very tasty, weparticularly like the marinated meats and the cold noodles! Also, among the side dishes that come with the meat, we got a soupthat was very delicious. It's pretty usual to get a bean paste soup with KBBQ as a side dish, but I was surprised at howsubstantial this one was, as it had lots of veggies and even meat in it (as opposed to most places where it's mostly liquid withjust a bit of veg or tofu). The only reason I'd give it 4 vs 5 stars right now is simply for the price and the small menu. Ithink if they had a few more non BBQ items and had some more affordable beef BBQ items it would really make it great. The cutsof beef we got were delicious and great quality, but for some people like us, we're okay with a slightly lower quality cut ofmeat at a more affordable price, especially when the meat has been marinated. I would also love to see more meat sauce options,as they mostly just had a spicy gochujang sauce and that was it. I think the typical sweet soy sauce type of dipping sauce yousee at BBQ places would have been great to have to have. Especially for diners who don't love spicy. Overall our experience wasgood - tasty food, friendly staff, and good location. If they were to implement the menu changes I suggested I would certainlybe back, but until then I think there are slightly better options in the area. Read more
