Not like how it used to be. Everything is self serve. No waitresses. You have to pay $0.40 for each tiny sauce that you want and... now they have a very small menu. No more steak n shake seasoning, the only way you can have some is if you purchase your owncontainer of seasoning to take home with you. There is also no more chicken tenders. Read more
I used to love going to this place. Now I guess because of the pandemic they no longer have servers. they make you order your... food like if it's McDonald's at a kiosk. it doesn't feel like you are a guest more. It feels like a fast food with a feel ofthey don't really want to deal with you kind of thing. Not to mention they've definitely taken a lot of stuff off the menu. Read more
First time back in years. They have new kiosks so you can order quickly and without confusion. Restaurant is clean and there is... plenty of seating. Staff was super friendly and really made my experience. Def recommend signing up for their club to getspecial discounts and coupons. I'll be back! Read more
Second time to a Steak and Shake since we have none where we live. Gotta say the quality of the food and service was the same.... The food was delicious as were the shakes and the other items were ordered. Not a big shoe string French fry fan, wish theystill had the steak fries we were told they used to have. The service was very good and the prices reasonable considering howeverything has gone up. Wish we had steak and shake in our neck of the woods. Read more
I ordered 2 sandwiches without the bun. I like steak and shake for this. I can get the sandwich without the bun for gluten... issues. The kiosk is a good feature. It reduces covid exposure and allows me to customize. I am just now reheating one so Idid not picture. In general the steak and shake burgers are better than most fast food joints. A little different now that they?ve switched to autonomous touch screen ordering and a slightly slimmed down menu, but still... tasty! They seem to have streamlined the menu (no more mushrooms or Swiss cheese) but kept a lot of the favorites. They stillhave single or double steak burgers with toppings like American cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. They alsohad the special garlic steak burger which was delicious. There aren?t the sauces and seasonings on the tables anymore, but theystill have ketchup available. The shake menu is still extensive which is great! The food came out quickly and was wellprepared. I do miss some of the old flavors they had but I understand restaurants need to change to stay afloat. It?s clean andwelcoming and the self-ordering makes things much faster. Read more
Stopped in for a quick bite. Despite the dining area being nearly empty, no back up in the drive thru and at least 4 employees... working, 30 minutes after ordering we still did not have our meal. When our 2 burgers and order of fries were produced, we weretold the onion rings would be out in a minute. Never received the onion rings. I asked for a refund on the onion rings that wereordered & was given $3.00 with no apology or explanation of why we did not have the order fulfilled. While the burgers weregood, the long wait and lack of completing a simple order left a bad taste for this establishment. Read more
