Love, love, love it!! The staff was so helpful in getting us what we wanted! The food was absolutely delicious. I'm sad to hear... they are turning it into an Express market place. I give that idea a thumbs down. That is the exact reason we do not go to thenew Hy vee. Read more
Have breakfast group here every Saturday morning. Brenda is a wonderful server and recognizes each of us and is friendly above... and beyond what is required to just take our orders and return with food. We genuinely feel appreciated and respected as peopleand not dollars. Sometimes we get to yacking among ourselves and lose time, but we have never been rushed or encouraged to buymore or leave. Today marked the second time I dined here and ordered a steak cooked medium rare. And it was the second time the steak came to... me cooked a very definite medium. The service was good, but there was very little done to make it right -- the staff actedembarrassed and wouldn't make eye contact once I complained -- and then gave me $5 off my meal. It was a little dissatisfying. Read more
Extremely dissatisfying, which is disappointing because I've enjoyed other Market Cafes at other Hyvee locations. Came here for... Sunday Brunch, took 5+ minutes just to be acknowledged by the hostess. Buffet was almost $20 per head, and looking at the omelet bar and single table of food in warming trays, we optioned to get something off the menu. The food took over an hour toarrive, and when it did we were greeted by half portions, with maybe 3 inch sandwiches. The food quality itself wasunderwhelming to say the least, it carried the gritty, cheap quality of hospital cafeteria food. The nachos we ordered for anappetizer were stale, salt less chips with goopy, lukewarm gas station nacho cheese and limp strands of browning fast-foodlettuce. Overall, the service here is very poor, the food quality is awful, and the prices are some of the highest in town whilethe portions are rather small. Don't go here, stick to just buying groceries at Hyvee. We didn't even want to pay the $40 itcost for two sandwiches for lunch. Read more
