This restaurant is just awesome. If you are looking for a perfectly prepared steak done the way you want it; you need to go to... this restaurant. Their ribeye steak is the best in town. They're t-bone steak is to die for. Our server Jerome tonight wasawesome, he took our drink orders informed us of the specials recommended some appetizers and gave us about 5 minutes to decidewhat we wanted and our food was out in approximately 20 minutes. The stampede dessert is a chocolate lovers dream. Jeromeinformed us that we wouldn't be able to eat it all and that we can enjoy a little bit tomorrow because it is huge and comes withtwo scoops of ice cream absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a great steak house to go to and in the coralville Iowa Cityarea I highly recommend going to LongHorn steakhouse. Took someone out for a late birthday dinner. We got an appetizer, 2 main entrées, 2 alcoholic beverages, and a dessert. We went... around 4pm, and sat at the bar, on the very left, low seats. Not busy at all for a Saturday at this time. For the appetizer wegot the Firecracker Chicken Wraps. Comes on chopped Romaine lettuce, served with diced tomatoes and house ranch. I don't recallwhat they are wrapped with, but it's a spicy mixture of what seemed to be a cheesy pureed mix (chicken, cheese, spice). Remindsme of a wanton wrap, but with a spicy chicken filling. Renegade sirloin was awesome. He asked for it medium well, and it cameout perfect. It was peppery, but not spicy. Tasted like it was grilled well. Wasn't chewy at all, had a really good tenderness,was easy to cut, and easy to eat. Barely any fat. Fries were seasoned similar to the steaks (steakhouse seasoning, like acracked pepper). Steakhouse Mac and cheese had garlic in it, parmesan cheese, and bacon but it tasted like it was a bit toogarlicky. Not horrible, but a bit overbearing. He saved the rest so it didn't overpower his steak. Sweet potato was amazing.Just enough butter and brown sugar. Flo's Filet and Lobster tail was fantastic. The lobster tail was super easy to pull out, butbecause I let it cool too much before I ate it, I decided to take it with me and heat it up properly later. Flo's sirloin wasasked to be medium. It came a bit rare for my taste, but as I eat my meat on the rare side sometimes, it didn't bother me. Italmost melted in my mouth. I got 2 piña coladas. Very tasty, blended very well. Average price (about $8.50 each). Finally, wegot the dessert, Chocolate Stampede. LORD ALMIGHTY! HUGE portion! 2 big scoops of vanilla ice cream, and 2 VERY LARGE slices ofchocolate cake. So good, but as we were getting full, we took most to go. I was so full I forgot to take a picture of it until Iwas getting it put in a to go box. Worth every penny! Will DEFINITELY be back. The food was absolutely wonderful. The filet was don't to perfection. Broccoli was a delight with just a hint of lemon in the... seasoning. The bread loaf was crunchy magnificence on the outside and marvelously soft on the inside. The salad was mostenjoyable with an amazingly chunky blue cheese dressing. The server was very courteous. The only reason I gave 4 stars insteadof 5 is due to the fact that when we were ready to check out our server was no where to be seen. It took us 15 minutes aftertable was cleared to get our check. This is one of the best places I have ever ate. The restaurant was very quiet and relaxed. Our server was Mindy and she did a... fantastic job. Got some appetizers including the Texas Tonion and spicy chicken bites. Some of the best chicken I?ve ever had!Really good homemade bread and butter.
