Incredibly mediocre food with an atrocious take-out experience. Normally I don't write reviews, but in this case, I felt... compelled to comment. My wife and I were staying in the area for a couple days the check out potential homes. After a very longday of touring, we decided to get take-out from Sangam, as we enjoy Indian food. We ordered the Tandoori Assorted Appetizers,Assorted Breads, the Karahi Gosht, the Tandoori Mixed Grill, and the Raita. Mind you, with the 20% tip in advance, this cameabout to roughly $70. What we picked up was comparable to to a lazy employee at a national chain coney island type ofpreparation. I honestly didn't know what to expect from the Assorted Appetizers, but what we got was about 6 servings of rice,and a quart-sized container of some lamb chunks, potatoes, and vegetables in a red sauce. I'm not sure if this was a mix-up inorders, but even so, it was vastly underwhelming. We had a few bites of the meat/red sauce, and threw the rest away, along withalmost all of the rice. The Assorted Breads resembled store-bought Naan soaked in oil, and grilled on a flat-top. They weresmashed together in a single sheet of tin foil. We ate a few bites, and threw the rest out. Both the Karahi Gosht and theTandoori Mixed Grill came in tin foil containers about the size of a soup bowl. It honestly took us a couple minutes to figureout which dish was which. Both had undercooked vegetables, as well as bright red crusted meat. Once we finally figured it out,both of us noticed that there was zero spice on either of the dishes. Major disappointment. Finally, the Raita was veryunderwhelming. It tasted like someone went to the local grocery, bought Greek yogurt, cucumbers, and dill, then casually mixedthem together. First time here, really cute and cozy restaurant! The food was delis ...we had the chicken masala and some red sauce paneer, and... samosas...everything tasted so good with our naan! So yummy that my friend had to order some lamb kabobs for her husband! Andin term of service, supberb! The boss Mr . Kumar and our waiter were amazing! Just another story of my life, my shoes decided tofall apart while there ...and our waiter was so quick to find some super glue to come to my rescue Who does that, right ? Suchsweet and kind people! Had buffet here today, extremely dissatisfied with the customer service. No proper greetings. Food feedback was asked to... selective people. Never bothered to check with me as I was only one customer on the table and hence it did not matter to them orbecause every other customer had a different skin tone. Restaurant management can answer that better. Felt ignored andinsulted. Did not want to pay a single penny for tip due to such categorical treatment, but surprisingly I was not given theoption to skip the tip part. My husband and I love this place. Everything we get is yummy. We do spicy level 3. We always order the dinner for two. The... restaurant is always clean. July 2021 visit, drove over an hour and a half out of the way to come visit this spot again and it was better than the first... visit!!!!! Food was as authentic as it gets... Did the level 4 out of 5 with the heat index for the chicken tikka, next timeI'll do the 5, the large chunks of chicken were very tender and the sauce was just unreal, mixed with the white rice it was hardto stop eating!!! My husband and I really like this place . They have a very compete buffet during the weekends with plenty of vegetarian and meat... options. It includes plenty of side items, dessert and naan. Very polite and attentive customer service. The flavors and thequality of the dishes are great and the portions are fair. We like the Dinner combo and the buffet. The place is clean. Read more
