Met here with friends from Cornell and we had a wonderful experience. A beautiful wood fire made this a cozy classic supper club... experience. Great steaks and cocktails and a scenic drive along the Chippewa River approximately 20 min from Eau Claire. Wewill be back! Read more

Very nice, quite, and cozy restaurant along the lovely Chippewa river! I do like the menu and most especially like... theall-you-can-eat fish fry buffet on Friday night! The deep fried cod is absolutely my favorite! Read more

We went for our first time on a Saturday evening. Had Old Fashions (some of the best I have had) and Prime Rib cooked perfectly.... Also had soup and salad from the buffet. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. All of the staff were veryfriendly. Brook was our server and she did a great job. We will definitely go back! Read more

I will start off by saying that I am a supper club elitist. When a place claims to be of those standards I expect...at the very... least, homemade food. We had the buffet. Salad bar had beets, which is always a plus, but the broccoli also had black spots allover every cut stem. The meat was either over cooked and dry, had no flavor, or was obviously previously frozen and from abox. Chicken noodle soup looked and tasted homemade, but was so salty it exfoliated the inside of my mouth. The waitress veryloudly asked another waitress "is this French dressing expired?" My heart sank when I saw the rolls and bread just came in agiant bag, goodness how hard is it to cook some rolls?! Everything else came in the freezer. Waitress seemed kind, but gave usout check before we even finished our first plate. Cake was surprisingly good, it had black specks throughout it, my immunesystem is pretty good so I'm going to just hope that it's French vanilla cake and not mold or bugs, but who knows! Brandy oldfashions were good, the wine on the other hand had been opened for so long that it was half vinegar. So.. maybe you should justgo somewhere else if you want to do more than drink hard liquor, and maybe bypass the buffet. Read more

Great food, you can tell a lot of what they serve is made from scratch as it's high quality and delicious. Your server could... have told us to pay the bill at the bar instead of letting us sit there for 15 minutes waiting for someone to take my creditcard! Read more

Celebrated a special occasion here this weekend with a large group. The April blizzard led many of us to cancel, but we still... had a good turnout and we were glad we made it. The dining experience here was perfect and we couldn't have chosen a betterplace! To give you an idea of how neighborly the owners are, they offered to help anyone who might have road troubles on the wayto the restaurant by meeting us with their truck. This is why we love Wisconsin- kind people, great food, beautiful scenery...Foster's has an old-fashioned timeless charm that's increasingly difficult to come by these days and we can't wait to visitagain!
