I knew this place was going to be a hit by the number of vehicles parked outside waiting for them to open. Amanda is an awesome... server. I was also impressed with the rest of the staff. Food was incredible and packed with flavor. Better bring an emptystomach lol Read more

Went there on a Saturday. The waitress Brooke and the rest of the staff were awesome and hilarious. I really appreciated that... they really tolerated my friends and I. Though it would've been hard to go lower than the family who did nothing as their kidwas literally throwing stuff around the floor. We felt bad about chit chatting with the staff and what not after their closinghour, but they were all great people and made us laugh. The next time I'm back in NYC visiting my friends, I'll hit this placeup again. Oh yeah the food. It was really good. I passed out when I got home. The fried chicken was juwuicey. It was alljuicey. There was so much, I ate the left overs for "breakfast". I put "breakfast" in quotation marks because I ate at like 1pm.I'm on vacation. Read more

I have wanted to go here for a while as a lot of people rave about the BBQ, so as always I will preface my post in saying a am a... home pitmaster. Time of dining 7 pm. I prefer a BBQ spot between 4-6pm. Why, because BBQ dries out. We ordered the chickenwings and pulled pork nachos for apps. Nachos we're good the pulled pork was a little dry. The chicken wings l didn't personally try the others in my group liked them. For the main course we ordered the family feast. It says it serves 4-6. Let mejust say I had 3 full take out boxes of food and there were 4 grown men. The pulled pork in the family meal was much better. Mymain item the brisket had a good run on it but was a little dry. The ribs were good. I didn't try the chicken..... Yet. Thecornbread is so worth stopping to have. We ordered three sides the Mac n cheese was awesome one of the best I have had. Thecandied yams were awesome. I didn't have the smoked baked beans yet. Overall it's with the stop and felt we paid a fair pricefor what we had. No issues with service. Read more

Absolutely great bbq! And we?ve eaten a lot of bbq in the Carolinas so this ranked with the best of them. Very happy it?s only... 40 minutes from where we live and worth every mile. The cornbread was served warm, was moist and had a slightly sweet top. Allthe meats were juicy and flavorful and the sides of slaw, potato salad, mac n? cheese and beans were all just the way we likethem. Great service, loved the playlist and the metal trays we ate off! Oh?and the SAUCE! It?s perfect! Read more

Respect to the young Kings but .. We ordered 2 of the 3 meat combos with collards yams baked beans with cheese grits and a... sweet tea to go? the brisket I received was hard dry ends that wasn?t edible. That part of the brisket should?ve been discarded.Upon placing the order I distinctly asked the girl if she had the moist part of the brisket she had no clue what I was talkingabout. She also was slightly rude as if I was bothering her when I politely asked the question. Actually I asked the question tothe guy first, that was taking orders a short guy he left the counter whispered to her and then she stepped up to the counterand said what?s your order. Then I again politely asked if I could request the moist part of the brisket. As I was trying toexplain to her what I was asking for and if it was an option, I noticed that she was responding like ?what? what are you talkingabout "I noticed she was annoyed by my question so I just proceeded to place my order. Please explain to your employees what?sthe Moist part vs Dry part of a brisket. The collards had no flavor and should?ve been cut smaller and more seasoned. The pulled pork was excellent. The BabyB/ribs taste good well smoked. I will say that all the meat was well seasoned. The corn bread wasexcellent as was the yams (although I had to pick plastic out of them). All the side items, are so good except for the greens. The sweet tea went down the sink no taste at all. Bqq n Sweet Tea go hand and hand. I?m looking forward to trying the NJlocation to compare the difference. Honestly I wasn?t impressed, I cook better than this. The other person ate their foodbecause they eat anything. We stopped there at 5pm on a Saturday and it was packed. The wait was about 30min. But we got a table by the fire place which... was an added bonus. The food is totally great and worth waiting. We loved all 4 types of meats that we tried, and the sides werenice as well. Read more

Really solid quality food. Service is okay but a bit slower (they were short staffed). Portions are rather small for the price... you pay. For example their fried chicken ($18) came with 4 small pieces of what I'd call average fried chicken. Their brisket ,ribs, and sausage though were quite on point. 3 meat combo ($28) was delicious, but again, really small portions so planaccordingly. Photo attached of both meals. Minus a star for portion size and service time (took over 30 minutes to get food, never got refills on drinks, etc..). Read more

Really good complementary cornbread. The brisket is probably the best meat here. It is exceptional! Pulled pork is good. The... ribs are the only thing I won't be getting again (too dry). The fried pickles were the best fried pickles I've ever had andtheir home made ranch dressing is similarly bomb. Great and fast service. A truck ton of food and beers for 3 people was $100.A good value for BBQ of this quality IMO. We'll be back here again after a hike! Looking forward to a plate of brisket. Read more
