Went here fir the first time. I'm not impressed. The service was the only thing good about the dinner. Drinks are good. They... wouldn't serve a salad because the salad guy didn't show up. Couldn't some else make a salad? The were only 4 tables withpeople sonic wasn't busy. The steak of the steak fries were served cold though the fries were good. I've had better Frenchonion soup and the beef burgundy was a bit salty. For a $100.00 dinner it was way below par. Read more
So happy we decided to try this long-established restaurant. Great wine and food and service was great. FYI, parking is scarce... as it's in Coronado and the restaurant doesn't have it's own parking spaces so plan accordingly. Read more
Rich, flavorful food in a charming environment. The duck tacos were amazing. The french onion soup was the best I've ever had,... with a delicious beef broth and sweet onions. Salmon and beef bourguignon we're fabulous. Read more
Exquisite food with wonderful attention to detail. Got seated immediately. This was the first time I had returned to Chez Loma... since its remodeling. The restaurant remodeling is charming and is decorated tastefully. You feel like you're at a restaurant inParis. The staff is welcoming and warm. From our first interaction with the hostess, our server was attentive and kind, andlastly, the manager personally greeted us and thanked us for dining. Couldn't speak more highly of Chez Loma staff. I highlyrecommend the escargot, I was hesitant at first, yet upon first trying the snails I was blown away by the overwhelming flavor.Each component of the dish worked extremely well together, will be ordering again! I really liked this place! First time here and ther service is very good. It's a kind of place that makes you feel you're part... of family. It's a French restaurant and the environment itsel makes you feel like you're in a really French place. The place isnice and cozy, servers and manager speak in French switching to English. I had the Beet salad that it was good. I guess that'snot enough to make a full judgement about the cuisine but as long for the salad it was food, very balanced in flavours and withthe right amount of dressing. Drinks are good. I had a Red blen, Raymond and also a Negroni well prepared. It's pricey but Ithink I'll visit again. To me it's an authentic place and that's important besides a good preparation of food (nothingimprovised) and when the service feels so personal. Read more
Lovely evening. Great ambience, fantastic food, reasonable prices for such a Chic little bistro in the center of Coronado. Our... waiter, Art was WONDERFUL! Sat in the veranda-like bar and had an early supper consisting of just two appetizers--salmon tartaretoast and mussels in a incredible saffron sauce, topped with the crunchiest pomme frites ever-- both of which were such generousservings, we were full when finished!
