The clam chowder was the best of them while the others had canned vegetables that weren?t tooappealing. Also got the basis crab and lobster roll. I?m a carnivore and thought that was a fair amount of meat given there wereoptions for more meat. The crab cake was average, definitely not worth the price for it. Pretty dang good lobster roll. The bread roll was fantastic. I expected the lobster to be hot but maybe cold is the way it's... supposed to be served? Honestly we chose this place because it wasn't as busy as everything else on Orange Ave. It was a greatdiversion and I'd recommend it. Read more
I've been searching for a fair priced, crazy delicious lobster roll for 5 years... I'm not exaggerating. Today, on a whim, my... husband did a search for lobster rolls near Coronado and we ended up at Lobster West. We live an hour north and there's a solidchance we'll be driving down here weekly because it was the absolute best thing I've ever eaten!! Lobster, crab, shrimp?oh my! Tender sea bottles in a warm, butter toasted roll with dusting of paprika (old bay?). Any protein... you decide on you are in for a treat! Options to increase amount of protein. I went with the shrimp roll while my love enjoyedlobster. Both were great portions, fresh and delicious. Dining tip: order the lemon tarragon aioli. I got the classic shrimp roll and while the shrimp was good, it was just shrimp with something like old bay sprinkled on top.... The meat was cold with room temperature bread. There was plenty of butter on the bread to give each bite a creamy texture. Thebathroom is on the 3rd floor so make sure to get the key. Read more
Finally tried out this spot in Coronado and it was a delight. I ordered the Boss Lobster Roll & the Boss Crab Roll for me and... the hubby. Both were good, but did not expect the meat to be cold. I prefer mine warm, but the bun was buttery warm so itbalanced the sandwich. I would come back again.???? Read more
This tiny hole in the wall serves "the most delicious and tasty lobster roll that does not skimp on the lobster" I have ever... had. The lobster bisque was hearty and opted for a extra toasted roll and a lemon rosemary aioli dip. The aioli dip waspleasantly tangy and fresh. This is my new favorite place in Coronado. Read more
