I previously enjoyed some wings and fries here about 6 years ago. They were AWESOME! So, after completing some customer... discovery I decided to reward myself and try their classic burger and fries--they DID NOT disappoint, AT ALL! It appears thatownership may have changed, I certainly hope their food and service do not. Sidebar: I went around 1:30 P.M. on a weekday.There seemed to be a regular bar crowd enjoying their time there but it seems to be a place that can get extremely noisy so planto focus on the food and not the conversation if you go in the evening. Friendly staff, place was nice and clean. I ordered the Peppercorn Burger w/Basil Turkey Patty with grilled onions & Pepper Jack... added. The “peppercorn” flavor was not noticeable and the grilled onions barely touched the grill. If I wanted to try thatagain I would order raw onion. I didn’t care for the barely grilled semi-crunchy onion that was kind of slimy on the burgerunlike actual grilled onions that I’ve had other places. Other than that the burger itself was kind of tasty. According tothe menu my plate should’ve included a pickle which it did not. We took the ferry onto Coronado Island with our bikes and made our first stop Nicky Rottens Bar and Burger Joint. Perfect day to... be out and enjoy the sites on a full belly. We all ordered something different as you’ll see from the photos. Mine was theCobb salad which to my delight was filling and well prepared. Great stop for bar fare. The beer is cold and the atmosphere verysports bar like. The service was fantastic and our server was great despite being very busy. Great choice any day … My rating4.5. Read more
Stopped in for lunch! Staff was great and food was tasty delicious! Giant shrimp cocktail was super fresh. I enjoyed the Chicken... lettuce cups and my husband the Famous Rotten Burger. Could not go wrong!! Read more
December 2021: Came here for lunch after a run around Coronado Island. Shared a Western burger and a chicken salad. Both were... very tasty. Beer and drink menu was pretty good! But since we just exercised, wasn't ready for an alcoholic beverage! Servicewas great. The lady said they were short handed due to staff shortages. But she did a great job at covering all of the tablesduring the lunch rush. Overall, would definitely come back again for more delicious food! Read more
We ride our bikes in Coronado and we usually stop here for a couple of beers and a Burger.. The burgers are very good actually... all of the food is good. The service could be a tad better but it wasn't too bad... fyi I noticed the servers were not wearingmasks during this time, most other restaurants they are, so if that is an issue, I was just pointing it out. Love it here!!!! Great food and Great vibes. I had the chili burger and it was amazing. The chicken fritters are good too
