Who knew Corpus Christi was hiding this amazing gem? Japanese/Korean by the sea? Yes, please! The best part of the evening was... the amazing server… I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name, but she was so fun and gave the most amazing suggestions. Myeyes were definitely bigger than my stomach, and I ordered way too much! But it was all amazing. I didn’t even take very manypictures because we were having too much fun. The fried pork appetizer was amazing, along with the dumplings. I showed theserver a menu item from another sushi restaurant that I love, and she had the chef prepare something super similar, just for me.I’d definitely come back! Read more
The food here is fantastic. I have been a few times and the quality has always been consistent. They have a variety of food from... sushi rolls to steak. They specialize in Korean dishes. I highly recommend the Korean style shortribs the taste was amazing andthe meat is so tender. It's a bit pricy but the food and portion size are worth it! Read more
I’ve been here so many times, and not once was dissatisfied (by any aspect). This is hands down the absolute BEST sushi and... Korean food in the area. Everything always tastes fresh and so full of wonderful flavors. I crave this place! The customerservice exceeds expectations. The owner is amazing. The atmosphere is incredible! I had the steak bento box and crunchy tuna roll the food was great. I loved the sauce on the steak and the place was very... interesting with a video playing along the wall. I moved away from Corpus, but whenever I come back to visit I love coming back to this place! Their drinks are so pretty (and... delicious), the atmosphere is so bougie yet laid back, and of course the food is delicious! They offer Japanese and Korean fooditems and there is a bar connected to the restaurant. Read more
This is the best Asian place in Corpus. The waitstaff is fantastic. The cocktails are out of this world. And the food, wow that... is to die for. We had the charred tuna, seafood pancake, and a sushi roll that I’m not even going to try and spell, but Iwould order all of it again. New favorite spot downtown! Read more
Always great service. Always great food. Always firing on all cylinders. Dokyo Dauntaun is an Asian-fusion sushi bar and... lounge located in downtown Corpus Christi. The contemporary decor makes it a great place for lunch and dinner, and especiallyfor a business meeting, or a date. You can dress casual or dress nice, and not feel out of place either way. Prices are veryreasonable. I always forget to take pics of my food to share because I’m always ready to dig in, but I recommend the Hokkaidoand Rainbow Rolls. I’m more of a sashimi guy, so I enjoyed their Sashimi Sampler (8 pieces). Also, you should do theAppetizer Wings, with the Angry Sauce, you’ll actually be happy you did. Read more
I literally loved this place so much. Corpus Christi itself seems to have a hard time when it comes to unique ideas/good... customer service and this place has both!
