The Fresh Code Mexican Style was so delicious. It was cooked with tomatoes, onion and Serrano sauce. Fish was tender and fresh.... It was also served with beans and rice. This is the best Mexican style fish on North Padre Island. Great atmosphere and a supernice owner. Read more

Santa Vaca! This was fun and tasty! Due to road construction didn\'t know if we\'d get into the parking lot. So glad we did. Fun... family atmosphere. Seriously authentic. It was in North Padre Island so expected but still. Very busy. Didn\'t think we\'d get aspace but a family moved to a smaller table for us so we could be seated right away. That speaks to the coolness of theclientele.\nThe chips were a little small serving but we got a second batch. The salsa was spicy not the standard red stuff youget where I\'m from. Green salsa. Good tasting.\nWife asks \"can we get cactus salad?\" Never ate cactus before. To me tastedlike spicy green beans. Had tomato onions and bits of cheese. Cool. Also came with corn tortillas. Wow those beat out the onesive seen at stores or Mexican at home. I usually avoid those and go for flour but these were good.\nMan (in picture) and wifeown this. Only been running for 16 months. Another similar spot they own in San Antonio. Thats been going for over 25 years.Fernando Rosas is owner.\nNow to the food... the owner heard I liked a little spice and suggested Asada de Puerco. Oh my... thatwas totally amazing. Not a bit left on the plate. It was a rich spicy pepper sauce. Nice spice...\nTwo people got Enfrijoladas. They were a little spice challenged. Loved it but a little too hot for them. We all tasted everybody\'s. I was ok with it. Ownersaid if it gets too hot, time for cervrza.\nMole poblanos is favorite dish in Mexico according to the owner.\nKid1 got chickenenmoladas. He loved his.\nThink everything is gluten free. There\'s vegetarian options too.\n\nWonderful evening! They weregreat. Food atmosphere. So much fun! Read more

5 stars easily, but I think 10 Stars more appropriate. This place is one of the best restaurants I\'ve been to in Texas.\n\nThe... service is outstanding in all regards, and the food is even better.\n\nI\'ve been to many places in Mexico, and know first-handthis food would be welcome in Puebla, La Ciudad, Tijuana, Ensenada, Quintana Roo, or Huatulco.\n\nWe WILL return. If you havethe chance to visit this place, you should do it. Read more

What an amazing little place. This ain?t a boring Tex-Mex but an authentic, very high quality and healthy, Mexican restaurant... with a 35-year of experience chef and his wife running the place. As Texans from DFW we have eaten in many Mexican restaurantsin our lives but this one is the best. What an amazing mole, enchiladas, fish, beans, etc. Even the chips and salsa were unique, which is unusual. Service is amazing. Both grownups and kids couldn?t get enough so we came back during each day of our stay inCorpus. As a bonus for us, almost the entire menu is gluten free (except the soup). This place should be a part of any plan youmake in Corpus Christi Read more

Talk about an experience. We showed up at 11am which is right when they opened. We were greeted at the door and also sat by... the owner, Carlos. Everything in this place is homemade. The chips and salsa are amazing. The owner and the chef, fernandoserved us. My wife had the mole verde and I had the cochinita plate. Both were outstanding. The tortilla soup is unlike I haveever had. If you haven?t been here it is a must. Highly recommend. Read more
