We had a group of my wife's friends in town for the weekend and needed a great seafood place for dinner. I reached out to a... friend who put me in touch with Shane the GM. We organized a Thursday night dinner for 25, school was starting back, picked a7:15 reservation hoping to try and minimize the disruption to a great family/local restaurant. Some folks had their flightscancelled so the group was slimmed down to 15. The service was TOP NOTCH (embarrassed to not remember her name), drinks were outquickly, apps got ordered and before we knew it entrees were arriving. Food was great as we've come to expect, nothing wascompromised based on our groups size and when the split checks arrived everyone was correct, no having to redo or argue. Excellent service here even at 6pm on a Friday. We were told a 30 min wait, it was only 10. We split Oysters Rockefeller and... coconut shrimp, both delicious. Went for date night with the hubby and they were a little crowded but we only waited 15 minutes before being seated. Always... great food and great service! I had blackened salmon with a crab garlic butter sauce with rice and veggies. The hubby had thecrab stuffed flounder with a caper sauce with rice and veggies. Both were delicious to say the least! I had the crab stuffed flounder with rice pilaf and green beans medley and my husband had the redfish,... both were delicious and so was the homemade potato chips that they served while you are waiting for your meal. Absolutely phenomenal! The best food we've had in Corpus Christi! Everything was exceptional. Fresh house-made chips to start.... We had the crab cakes as an appetizer and they were perfectly made. The chicken poblano corn chowder was superb and burstingwith flavor. Coconut shrimp comes on a bed of waffle sweet potato fries. Had a terrible meal. If you like fresh fish - stay away. The beer batter redfish looked and tasted like catfish and was grease... coated batter. I have had good battered fish - this wasn?t it. The stuffed flounder wasn?t fresh - tasted old. Very disappointed- although the manager took off the price of food I would rather have paid for a good meal. Read more
