What a great stop for lunch. Driving home from a road trip and came upon this place. Did we really good and the staff was... really friendly. Doug's is small but just big enough for the constant flow of customers they have. I wish I lived closer. Definitely a stop worth trying for a quick relaxing pit stop. Read more
One of our favorite things in the Finger Lakes. Fish dinners and shrimp po? boy sandwiches. Fries and onion rings are excellent.... Extra stars for soda water. Consistently great tasting fish fry. Read more
Decent but not great. Pretty pricey even in this crazy economy. ( Over $17 plus tax for a fish sandwich on a hamburger roll,... side of coleslaw and onion rings... And remember we're talking paper plates and plastic utensils). Fish was decent and goodsized ( especially on the tiny burger bun) the Onion rings were smallish, greasy and just ok, for about $5 more than thesandwich and slaw alone didn't seem worth it... On the plus side the staff was nice and friendly and this is certainly a decentplace to stop. Read more

I found this place while passing through the town. The fish and chips, was finger licking good. Everything is made fresh and... served hot. They also provide great tasting sauces and Cole slaw on the side. Definitely recommended. The wall decors was offthe hook "They were amazing!!! Best fish fry in central/ upstate New York. Delicious tender fish battered and fried in a crispy and delicate layer of breading.... Mac is very good as well. Homemade products, good quality, good atmosphere, friendly workers. Highly recommend. Read more
Doug's Fish, with it original restaurant in Skaneateles, New York, expanded several years ago. This location seems to be the... only expansion that continues to this day. I am glad that it has. Over the years I have eaten here by myself and with my family,whenever traveling on the back side of Cortland, New York along route 281. What I love about Doug's is that they have achievethe perfect balance between having a crispy crust while maintaining a light and fluffy fish meat inside. Plus, the New Englandlike clam chowder is so unique, it is in a class of its own outside the classification of being a New England chowder Thoughthis place originally open many years ago, they have modernized the order taking, so even though each order is madeindividually, the wait is short. So if you are driving the back side of Cortland down route 281, stop here for a treat that youwill appreciate. Read more
Loved this place. Not a fish person but the chicken was phenomenal and the people and atmosphere were perfect. They have a... flavor shot Pepsi fountain machine which was nice especially for a place with quirky flair like Doug's. Definitely highlyrecommend this especially if you like a traditional style English fish and chips. Read more
