Excellent dinner! Don't miss it if you are in Corydon. We had a few hiccups with the online reservation but they found us an... outside table anyway. All 3 dishes we ordered were excellent. We had shrimp and grits, General Tso's Chicken, and salmon. Myphotos are not the perfect presentation that it would have been in the restaurant because we ended up getting our food to go dueto rain coming in. The staff was awesome and super helpful. I'd definitely eat here again. Read more

??this little restaurant atmosphere, a cool local. On to the meals and drinks. For the drinks (Kentucky mule, Crazy Daze)... excellent ???????????????? Appetizer timing ????????Big no-no as the appetizer and entrée arrived basically at the same time. This is why it’s called an appetizer it’s before the meal! ?? Elk tartare, if you’re ordering tartare you know what toexpect it’s raw meat. The Chef has decided to cover up the meat using a pickled onion slurry that completely overwhelmed theelk! Don’t hide your $$$ main ingredient make it shine. The Elk was lost in this dish. Big disappointment???????? ?? ?? ???? Shrimp and hominy grits. I really enjoyed this dish very tasty, the only criticism I have is that the harmony could have moretexture. The texture was more of mashed potatoes instead of grits. NO-?? General TSO (pork belly version) I know pork belly isgoing to be fatty but this dish was all fat not a single piece of pork meat in the whole dish. ???? ?? ?? Banana breadpudding Hot and tasty but so dense. Bread pudding should not be this texture. Service Well I know it was the busy time of theday but when you have to flag down your waitress several times you’re being ignored. The table next to mine had the opposite,as the waitress was checking in way to frequent and I could tell the party at that table were also frustrated. Read more

Fantastic! The chef obviously knows what he’s doing. Started with drinks, had an old fashioned that was spot on and a blood... orange margarita that was very good. Then had the fried broccoli as an appetizer. It was the star of the show. Maybe the bestbroccoli dish I’ve had. I’m assuming the menu changes a lot but I had the shrimp scampi and my girlfriend had the generalTso chicken. I throughly enjoyed the shrimp but her Tso chicken was probably a bit better. I would definitely recommend. Read more

Great food spot in corydon, probably the nicest spot in town. We split truffle fries that were fantastic and a great starter. I... got the general tso which was good. I do wish the server would have followed up to suggest chicken or pork belly. The menu listboth as an option and I forgot to specify. By default I got chicken, but really wanted pork belly and forgot to specify. We alsogot the Cajun shrimp n grits. The grits were probably the best we’ve ever had. Everything had good flavor and a nice kick thatwasn’t too overpowering. For drinks I got the elmarita (margarita with blood orange) and this was fantastic! Defiantly goingto add blood orange to my margs going forward. Also tried the Crazy Daisy which has an electric powder rim. This is a coolpowder that stimulates salivary glands. I wish this could have been explained better by the server as they just said it was anumbing sensation. I had to google what I was even eating which is kind of a bummer. Defiantly recommend this spot for dinner, but think they can do a lot better with educating staff of dishes and cocktails. Also no full bar or person trained on makingoff menu drinks which is a bummer. Also had to google what happened in 1816 to see where the name came from. Would be cute toput a blurb about this on the menu so it felt more cohesive. Decor was cute in the main area, but had a religious theme in thebathroom that felt not cohesive. A can’t miss spot in corydon for dinner if passing through! Read more

First time here and it was magnificent! The pork belly general tso was so good and flavorful! My husband had the Larry's... chicken and tho it did take awhile to cook, it was well worth the wait! It was good without the Bama BBQ and the truffle frieswere also superb! We can't wait to try something new again next time! Read more

Fantastic dinner tonight at 1816 modern kitchen in Corydon. Executive Chef Scott Dickenson is the new owner and is still rocking... it in the kitchen. The crispy skin chicken dish was fantastic. Hubs had the surf & turf special. We normally gloat over whoscored the best dish but not tonight. Both were superb. Apps were amazing too. I fell in love with the FGT. The fried broccoliwith goat cheese was delicious too. Absolutely worth the drive out to Corydon. Make a reservation. This place is hopping for areason. Cheers! Read more

1816 is perfectly located on the corner of "old town" Corydon. If only it were warm enough to dine outside!!! Small but diverse... menu and I'm sure everything on it is great. We were all super satisfied by what we got. I'd recommend it to anyone. Read more
