Visited FishBonz for the first time with friends on a weekday for dinner and ordered almost everything on the menu. We ordered... everything we needed and they delivered the food to our tables not like a regular restaurant experience, the food was absolutelyamazing!! Freshly made and tasted delicious everyone's favorite was the shrimp tacos!! It's a must if you're planning a visitfor the place. Couple more items need to try also fried calamari and butterfly shrimp ???? ???? Honestly everything was amazing.Will sure pay them a visit again. The food here was delicious. Of the items we had the only one I didn't care for was the beans. They're were fairly generic while... everything else was packed with flavor. The sauce for the rockin shrimp was superb. It'll be hard not ordering that again nexttime we go. There is a big parking lot in the back but it can be hit or miss during peak times Read more
Was hoping for a better experience based on other reviews. Went in on Monday evening about 7:30. Cashier was short with us and... had an attitude when we need time to go over the menu as it was our first time in. Continued with the attitude for the remainderof the transaction. Gal who delivered the food to the table was pleasant and friendly. We went with the Cajun Seared Ahi andthe Rockin' shrimp bowl. The ahi was over cooked and tasted very fishy. Rice and zucchini were good. Shrimp bowl was good noissues there. I can't recommended based on my experience. Hopefully you will have a better one. Read more
Ok we usually go to the Fishbonz in Rolling Hills Plaza in Torrance, but we were in the Costa Mesa area and came to the location... here. The food is awesome like at the Torrance location but they do have a greater variety of food choices and they serve ????and ????! This location is larger and very nice. If you like grilled seafood at an affordable price, this is THE place! My mom loves seafood so I took her to try this place and... she got a cajun salmon vinaigrette salad and she loved it. She said the fish is so buttery, juicy, tender, and seasoneddeliciously. For about $13, she got two generous pieces of fish on her salad. And I got battered fish and battered shrimp tacos,and they were pretty good too and I'm a noob seafood eater haha! I've tried the clam chowder here as well, which I loved withthe sour dough bread bowl just like boudins! My boyfriend likes their grilled fish and shrimps as well! It's definitely a healthier choice than others around. Also has kombucha as a drink option. The menu was quite large. Salmon was... good, but it was a bit dry for me because it was too well done. No salt it was nice. Chilean sea bass was decent, but it wasquite small for what I paid for. Corn was probably the best. Zucchini was also as good as it could be done on an open grill. Wow! Serving size is generous. Looking at other customer orders too. Outstanding customer service from the moment you walk in.... Very helpful selecting menu items and patiently answered questions. Would come back just for the service Fish & Chips. Yesplease! Large portion, easily shared. In lieu of "chips" we had rice and coleslaw. Would definitely reorder both sides. Rice,seems simple enough - their tasty vittles are delicious. Ordered the clam chowder. I can see why this came with a strongrecommendation. Fresh test, Chick-fil-A oh potato and clam.
