Tl;Dr "Good Soup" - Adam Driver I'll be honest I'm a very critical person when it comes to ramen. Ramen is a miniature... contained universe of diverse and contrasting flavors. It is a balance. Hakata Ikkousha has achieved near perfection for mycriteria. Opinions are subjective so I implore you go in with no expectations and taste for yourself. The tonkotsu broth has avery rich porky flavor it is salty however do not let that dissuade your opinion you can adjust the strength of the broth. Ilike mine rich. You have options on how firm or soft you want your noodles. The noodles themselves are fresh and I get minefirm they hold their tensile strength and do not go limp. Toppings are simple. You aren't bombarded with numerous choices. Yesvariety is the zest of life; however, the small amount of choices for toppings keeps it very simple and makes life easier. Thechashu pork is wonderful. Chashu pork is seasoned braised pork. You can taste the quality of the pork. Sometimes you can tasteif it's aged or if they just stewed the meat but Hakata Ikkousha has preserved the flavor of the pork despite being seasoned insoy sauce and other spices. The quality of the meat is excellent. My experience was amazing. In the immortal words of AdamDriver "Good Soup ????." I recommend trying the tonkotsu first and then the black garlic tonkotsu. The black garlic adds asweetness that balances the saltiness of the broth. Read more

Got reccomended this place by the OrangeCounty subreddit. People were discussing best ramen places in Socal and Hakata kept... getting mentioned. So my friends and I decided to try it out. Overall, we all liked it but personally I think I prefer HiroNori. Had the Tonkatsu ramen. Read more

I tried the god fire ramen with heat number 2 and the broth was delicious. The ramen noodles however are very thin. Like angel... hair pasta so that kind of threw it off. Overall it was a good experience. Food was fast and the workers are friendly and theydo a great job with social distancing in the tables. Read more

Fantastic bowl of ramen, would recommend! Black Devil ramen, level 3 spiciness, light richness, normal noodle chew, with onions... for $13.5 The ramen was extremely rich, just go light here... The noodles were beautifully done, I like the thin noodles with agood chew to it. I'd say the spiciness at level 3 was right under the 2x fire noodle level. To me, that's perfect and anymorewould be unenjoyable. The volume of food was moderate, but it's so much flavor that I think it's a good choice. There was apretty thin piece of chasiu, it was tender. Just wish I had another. We also got a large order to of chicken karaage. Goodchoice of dark meat. It was fried super crispy and the inside was moist and tender. Got here at 6:45pm in a Tuesday night. There was plenty of seating. Though another time I came here was Saturday at 9:30pm when it was happy hour, packed. We werelucky to get a couple of the stalls. You go in, order with a slip of paper and it comes out quick! Parking at the lot isplentiful because a lot of the other shops in the plaza are closed at night. Read more

Broth was delicious with good texture. Noodles were good too. Chashu was NOT good, however. I love fatty pieces of pork, mine... came out as the tough piece of meat like in Thit Ko. Very dry. Katsu was great though. Gyoza was all light and tasty. Servicegood too. That Chashu though, very disappointed. Read more

I got a ramen. It only had one very thin small slice of meat. I went to other ramen places before, where they serve you more... meat for cheaper price. I asked the waiter about it, and she told me that it's normal, and if I want more meat, I need to orderseparately. The broth was good. The bowl looks big from top, but it gets smaller and smaller towards the bottom like a funnel totrick you. I won't come to this place again. Read more
