Highly recommended for lunch for the sandwiches. The pot roast was a treat. The flavors of the food, even the iced tea, were... rich and unique. The garden area was a very pleasant. We had no problems staying out of the sun on a hot day. Service washighly attentive. Only one downside. If one is outside, expect to hear the jets roar overhead. Read more
Good food and great atmosphere!
Bottom line: absolutely terrible service at this restaurant. The waiters are aloof and unhelpful (I'll stop short of saying... rude, but definitely not friendly). I ordered a breakfast "special" which came with scrambled eggs; I asked for them over mediumand the waiter said they'd make a "one time exception." Seriously, how hard is it to prepare the eggs over medium versusscrambled? Extra training required for the chef? I also had to ask for a coffee refill multiple times as the waiter neverstopped at the table to check how the food was, or if there was anything I needed (you know, the level of service like you getat Denny's or IHOP). I got up to go to the restroom, and told my waiter I'd be back shortly. When I came back, they had clearedmy table and had given it to another patron. Half of my breakfast was still on my plate. I went to the host and let him know Ihad told the waiter I'd be back, and he said "oh, he didn't tell the other waiter and he cleared your table." (They did realizetheir mistake before I returned and had put out coffee and toast at another table.) Finally, when the bill came, I waited a good20 minutes for the waiter to come by to get it before I finally just took the check inside to pay. This restaurant is insidethe Ayres Hotel Costa Mesa, where I stay pretty often and is a nice hotel. This is my second visit to this restaurant due tobeing in the hotel (the first visit was also not great, but not this bad), but this will be my last. I will also be advisingother members of my company to avoid it. I'm rating the restaurant at two stars because the food was passable and the venue isnice. Read more

I had Google and found this spot last minute on mother's day morning. Heard mix reviews but thought we'd come check it out for... ourselves. Turns out to be a quaint little restaurant inside Arya Hotel. I'm all about the ambience, not just the food so letme tell you...the garden and fountain totally sets the tone for my beautiful, special day and the FOOD...OMG! We didn't takepictures of the food (which we should have) but it was so delicious that pictures was the last thing on my mind....we ate! Ohboy we ate!! Read more
Great atmosphere, good food and wonderful service. To start the restaurant is located inside the Ayres hotel by the fountain.... They offer dine in and have a patio seating by the fountain. The menu is diverse in its options. For the main meal I ordered thepot roast sandwich with truffle fries, and pan seared Loup de Mer with steamed veggies. Along with dessert, I ordered an icecream with chocolate cake and a dark chocolate mousse. The waiters are very attentive and are knowledgeable about the menu.Brunch is now offered. Ask about the dessert options there not on the menu!! This was my first time here and it was apleasurable experience. I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant it feels like you are transported out of your normal scenery.Le Chateau is a wonderful restaurant to go to! Read more
What a great place! It's lovated inside the Aryes Hotel. You can either dine inside or in the courtyard. We chose the courtyard.... Weather was perfect! It reminded me of a little European town. The staff was very attentive. The menu had so much I wanted totry. Definitely a place you want to take someone to leave a good impression--but even if you wanted something casual with afriend or even solo, it's perfect! Read more
