Excellent gourmet Italian food. Amazing meatballs appetizer. The Salsicha (homemade sausage) pizza is excellent. It does not... come with sauce but somehow it doesn't need it and is by no means dry. My wife says the Salsicha is the best sausage she's everhad. The mushroom cannelloni is good but very rich and also has a hint of lemon that I did not care for. A seriously disappointing experience. There was no mention when making the reservation that main courses would not be offered.... Perhaps we were saved from further disappointment. Our appetiser was good. However the pizza that followed was like rubber andthe cannelloni which was recommended by the waiter lacked the promised filling of cheese and asparagus and the pasta thatencircled it was like cardboard. Our cannelloni was baked solid to the dish it was served in which further eroded its appearanceand taste. There were three of us but somehow we were served 4 coffees and the waiter didn’t seem to think that was a problem.I can’t recommend this restaurant, it’s just not great Italian cuisine although the restrooms are immaculate. a staple in my restaurant rotation, try to make it out at least once a week. happy hour pies are the best deal going, drinks are... on point and the staff are super cool. the thin layer of dough and the san marzano tomato sauce are the real stars of thepizza, so good! if you're not into a little char on your crust, just ask for it to come out with none, because that's how theyare default from the wood fired oven. the happy hour fried brussels sprouts and the regular menu ones are also quite good, buti'd give the nod to the fried ones. Best brussel sprouts I have ever had!! They are a must when you eat here! The ambiance is great, service was a little slow at... first, but the restaurant was packed due to dinner before a show at the Segerstrom Center. We were able to get a table, whichwas great! And once seated, service was great and restaurant quickly emptied out and people went off to their show. Cauliflowerappetizer and prosciutto pizza were so good. We will definitely be back! Read more
So stopped here last night, and the service was amazing. Our server brought the Haha's and tastey drinks. Food was pretty close... to perfect, the poached egg on the carbonara was a little over done, same for the egg on the pizza. Pasta was fresh and priceswere reasonable. Desert was good, enough choices and flavor here to make me want to make the drive back! Read more
