Decided to check it out after not going for many years. We were unfortunately sat right next to the Uber eats/DoorDash/curbside... door. At one point there were four drivers all waiting for pickups, but no servers or hosts checked in on them - even with manymilling about aimlessly given the restaurant was quite empty. Sure, the food was as expected (good, not great) but that taintedbecause the entire time I felt anxious with the palpable anger brewing from the DoorDash folks. That alone was enough to makethe whole thing uncomfortable, and hence, my suggestion to look elsewhere. Read more

Their service and quality sure has changed since the days of karaoke. My wife and I went there late, so I wasn't expecting... anything. They stated they could not serve us any food. We stopped here after being out at Treasure Island for the Duran Duran concert that was canceled last minute, late night. We... were greeted & seated right away, waited about 10 min to order food. The bar was full but not many others in the restaurant. Itwas fairly quiet for a Friday night. We got our food & ate. Didn't want to give a star at all. It was dead for a Saturday evening amd multiple hosts and waitresses walked passed our table.... Didn't say a thing and the host told us when she sat us that the server would be right with us. We waited for 20 minutes and noone came to even ask about getting us drinks. I haven't been to an Applebee's in probably 20 years. The outside of the building was very clean and nicely decorated with... plants and flowers. The inside was also clean and organized. We sat at a hightop in the bar. They had the local baseball game onand you could see it wherever you sat. We were a little confused, they had the QR code on the table to view the menu on yourphone AND they had a device to play games on, read the menu and your bill on. But it only showed appetizers and desert. Sooo...what's the point of that? Our server was very nice brought real menus. We chose the one appetizer and two entrees for $27. Ourappetizer was the Artichoke Spinach dip, delicious! Our entrees were the Whiskey Bacon Burger with fries and the Bourbon Chickenwith Shrimp skillet. The food was delicious. Our server was great. When we were done with our food, we sat around a bit and ourserver finally sensed this and asked if we were ready to go, to which we were and she tells us we can pay on the device. Sothere's really only a few limited things you can do on the device, but apparently pay with cash is not one. Not a fan of thedevice. It makes dinning out much more impersonable. Then what's the point of the server in the first place. We didn'tappreciate the device. Whatever happened to speaking with one another? I've had more interaction with cashiers at McDonalds. It is clean but the food is that generic texture and my steak was soft but rubbery. The waiter also tried to switch out what you... ordered for something else and took my drink and cleaned my table before I was ready to go. They play bingo at 9:30 pm.
